I've always liked Claxton and we need a center. The question is whether it worth giving up youth at #10 for that?
Claxton is only 26

I don't know if i can see Beal wanting to go to BK. Also have some reservations about Claxton as a fulltime starting C and Cam as starting PF. We'd be a very thin/light team up front that could get pushed around and bullied by bigger teams. I'd still do the deal but we need longterm answers at those two spots just the same.
Yeah, I remember vividly Johnson getting beat up by Randle when he was on the Knicks but Cam got the last laugh in that game. And then proceeded to be out for a couple weeks.
Synchronicity and all that jazz, man.

OK, done. That is weird. Feels like he's much older. I'd trade #10 for that, a known quantity. The draft is a crapshoot.

Assume Beal says yes…what are you attaching in a Beal for Vucevic, Dosunmo, Pat Williams trade?

I'm not opposed to trading Beal at all, but I do think that we should not buy him out or waive him. At the very least, he's a great scorer to go out there and be the focal point of a second unit, and an easy person to start if someone is injured. Yes, he's frustrating, but he's far from disposable.

What's the most consecutive number of games he's played as a Sun? 10? 12?

He's a continuity killer. He can't stay healthy long enough to develop any team cohesion, and he sets a terrible example for his teammates about toughness. We joke about DA not playing with bruised ribs, this loser hasn't had a legitimate injury his entire Suns tenure and has somehow managed to miss a majority of the games. He's the anti-Haliburton. Get him off my fucking team. If we don't buy him out or trade him I'd tell him to just stay home and the checks will arrive by mail.

That doesn't even take into account his basketball abilities. Hes awful defensively. Gives inconsistent effort on the court. He makes lazy, awful turnovers and he laughs when he gets cooked defensively. It all makes sense now why he's been perfectly content taking Fat Ls his whole career

Cam Johnson and Nic Claxton for Brad Beal works cap wise. Just saying.

Johnson and Claxton for Beal and #10. Get it done.

Booker/CG
Green
Brooks/Dunn
Johnson/Oso
Claxton/Richards
I would do it if we can get #19.

So the Nets are going to give up two of their biggest trade chips in two talented young vets on friendly deals, and take on the worst contract in the league all to move up 9 spots?

I wish you were Brooklyns GM

They’re the ones wanting to move up. They must have a player they like. I might settle for #26 or #27.

I am positive they could trade up for any of the other picks ahead of us and not have to take on the leagues worst contract. Don't be ridiculous

I think we can get a better player than Claxton at #10, who doesn’t make $25M. Claxton seems to have regressed lately. Cam has a decent contract, but I’m not doing that deal just to get rid of Beal, unless I get at least some first round pick back.

Can't forget roster construction and how he'd fit into the team now. I can't imagine chemistry would be great knowing we just traded for his replacement.

They now have 8, 19, 22, 26, and 27. They can spare us one. Ainge would get three or four out of them. :P
