Charlotte is not allowed to re-acquire Micic before July 1, so this is another post-moratorium trade that can’t be completed until July 6.

Micic is the big winner here…he was not getting 8 million. Believe he was even headed over seas.

I remember hearing that he preferred to go overseas. Maybe they’ll buy him out.

I believe Nick Richards is staying. Suns need as much size as possible.

I like this trade. 👍
He seems like he’d only get in the way of Oso and Khaman getting minutes to develop.
Possibly. I'm just tired of the Suns getting beat up in the paint.

Assuming good health, this is the best I’ve felt about our interior D since…..?

Not worried about Oso’s development either. Williams is probably gonna miss time lol. So he’ll have an opportunities to play.

Definitely think Richards getting traded tonight or tomorrow. Cheap contract, solid back up, hopefully get a second or two.

Damn helluva trade. Williams, Dunn, Brooks, Green, Book. That’s a lot of size and D in our frontcourt. Dunn better be shooting 3s all summer in time for the fall.

I think this could be true. And we still probably made the right pick, although for future roster balance I wonder if we should have gone for Carter Bryant.

Certainly possible. They probably figured CMB would be there and they could pair him nicely with Williams but got caught off guard by the Raps' pick. They can dodge a bullet if Maluach works out but still not a good look for the front office.

Could the Suns change their mind and backout? I mean the Warriors did it to us.

So…wasn’t Mark Williams flagged by the Lakers? Is he fully healthy?
“Kobe had said (after the play) I wasn’t hugged enough as a child,” Bell recalled. “My mom kind of found him after the instance and we had beat them and offered him a hug in the bowels of the Phoenix arena. She really feels a part of that story.”

If he fails his physical. But then we’ll be stuck with whoever Charlotte wants at #29.

So stupid to give up two firsts to trade for a guy with health issues. This FO continues to amaze…and not in a good way.

We couldn’t get two firsts for KD (for either a 1-year rental or from his preferred teams), but we happily give up two firsts for a 1-year rental of a (injury-plagued) Mark Williams?

Make it make sense.

Firsts in the 20s are an order of magnitude less valuable than unprotected future picks and the 10th pick.

We have no clue where that 2029 pick will end up. It depends on how those teams are doing 4 years from now.

It’s the worst of 3 picks…you know the 10th pick is way more valuable than those 2…I’d even bet you’ve complained about trading our 2031 pick for that crappy 2029 pick in the past

So we’ve really just wasted our unprotected 2031 pick on this trade…you’re not helping me feel any better.

Windhorst was saying that Williams isn't healthy and won't be extended at the end of the season. The Suns get a starting center to take pressure off of Maluach while he develops and money off the books next summer. According to Windhorst.
That's asinine.

2/3 of it…. Also I thought you liked defense and rebounding…that’s what we just added.

I think it’s weird we double dipped…shades of drafting Chriss and Bender, but I think the moves make sense individually.

I hope one of them shoots eventually. FT% is promising for both. Pretty big hole at the 1 and 4 still…though it seems Booker might be playing pg next year at this rate.
