What do you think the suns do next after Beal is bought out?

This is likely Beal’s last “fuck you” to the franchise on his way out. Hell, it wouldn’t surprise me if he was insisting on getting a NTC for his new contract.

Deep breaths, Shel.

Synchronicity and all that jazz, man.

He probably wants to know how much he is going to make from the new team, and will only give back that much money to the Suns.
So hopefully he chooses a vet min so we can’t stretch the contract!

Getting this done today or tomorrow or next week doesn’t really matter at this point. We lost our opportunity to use the extra flexibility when it didn’t happen right out of the gate in free agency.

Wait, wouldn’t we still be in luxury tax territory, making it 125% still?Split T wrote: ↑Tue Jul 08, 2025 11:58 amIt’s 100% + 8ish million nowJeremyG wrote: ↑Tue Jul 08, 2025 11:56 amWe would still be above the cap, though, so we could only take back 125%.Split T wrote: ↑Tue Jul 08, 2025 11:54 amWell if we waive and stretch Beal at the assumed amount(he gives up 14m), then we don’t even have to include Richards. We can take back more salary at that point, up to the 1st apron. So we’d have about 6ish million we could add onto Grayson. The Bobster wrote: ↑Tue Jul 08, 2025 10:46 amWhat about Allen & Richards for Kuminga? It would allow Golden State to re-sign Kuminga at about $22 million for the first year to make a sign & trade deal work.

Luxury tax, yes…but the 1st apron is about 8 million above the luxury tax line and that’s where it changes I believe…which we’d be hard capped at the 1st apron anyways if we acquire someone via S&TJeremyG wrote: ↑Tue Jul 08, 2025 2:01 pmWait, wouldn’t we still be in luxury tax territory, making it 125% still?Split T wrote: ↑Tue Jul 08, 2025 11:58 amIt’s 100% + 8ish million nowJeremyG wrote: ↑Tue Jul 08, 2025 11:56 amWe would still be above the cap, though, so we could only take back 125%.Split T wrote: ↑Tue Jul 08, 2025 11:54 amWell if we waive and stretch Beal at the assumed amount(he gives up 14m), then we don’t even have to include Richards. He's asking for 30? But I heard Giddey prefers it under 18! Heyooooospecialsauce wrote: ↑Tue Jul 08, 2025 12:49 pmThe Bulls are holding firm on not offering Josh Giddey $30 million annually in contract negotiations, per @KCJHoop.
