Josh Jackson stinking it up in his second Summer League stands out as a real gut punch moment for me as a fan.

I haven't been this excited about the Summer Suns since Amare I don't think. I remember going to Vegas for Josh Jackson's debut and it was very underwhelming as was his career.
I wonder if there are any archived footage of Amare in summer league.

I also had the privilege of seeing Amare in the Pro-Am in Huntington Beach, I think it was, his rookie year. I'm pretty sure Bo Outlaw played in that as well.

What say you, @Flagrant Fowl?

Phoenix Suns Invite Oregon Ducks' Brandon Angel To NBA Summer League Roster
The Phoenix Suns have added former Oregon Ducks forward Brandon Angel to their NBA Summer League roster, joining Houston Rockets center N'Faly Dante, Brooklyn Nets wing TJ Bamba, and Portland Trail Blazers guard Keeshawn Barthelemy as former Ducks in the showcase.

Glue guy and pretty smart on the court. Middling athleticism. Probably won't have a substantial NBA career.

Not to mention the body language that made it clear he thought he was better than SL and didn't take it seriously.

I'll know tomorrow how excited or depressed to be about the future of the Suns.

It's not about stats at all, you can tell very quickly who's got "it" and who doesn't.

When it comes to the guys who're guaranteed NBA players, it's all about effort in SL. The box score is mostly irrelevant.

Alarm bells should be going off anytime one of those players disappears from the game physically or mentally.

It's a little weird having so much size, talent, and depth in the frontcourt on the SL team.

Ryan Nemhard looks great out there. Really sad we missed out on getting him as a UDFA.

Carter Bryant with 4 blocks int he first half. He is going to be a solid pro if his shot is legit.

I remember the pro am league. They used to advertise that in the LA Times.

I remember I was waking up at around 3AM just to watch Josh Jackson that July at Vegas Summer League, Bone.

We certainly had a sky roof high expectations of him. Ah well.

Josh Jackson's greatest accomplishment was helping Serge Ibaka go to the Bucks.

That man is a "fascinating" case of good basketball talent being overshadowed by poor life skills. His bone-headedness ended up being his defining quality.

He also just wasn’t as good at basketball either…he’s a case of someone just being bigger and faster than everyone until he got to the nba. His skill level wasn’t that high.

Dunno why I'm talking about Josh Jackson. Summer is the worst.

I agree that he wasn't that good, but it usually takes the NBA as a whole a few years to catch on. At the age of 23, he averaged 13.5/4/3/1/1 in 25 minutes and basically didn't play after that. I know - empty stats on a bad team. Lots But it was the off court stuff that kept other teams from taking a chance on him. It was his personal character that overshadowed his production and reputation as a defender. IMO it was his lifestyle that sabotaged his performance on court as well. This man was waved by the Kings G-League team immediately after signing with them, and only managed one season overseas.

Ya I agree with that…I think his talent was enough to overcome the off the court stuff up until the nba…there was some production, but it was all very inefficient. He was also a player model from a different era. Lots of pull up long 2s.

Any thoughts on Alex Sarr's historically bad performance? 0-15 yesterday. Averaging just 6 points and shooting 35% over 3 games in summer league so far.

That was last summer. The Wizards haven't played in Summer league yet.

Sarr had a pretty strong second half to his rookie season. He looks like he's going to be a good player.
