All this talk about being young and connected looks embarrassing. We are literally just playing the same dudes as last year minus KD. Gross.

Well, too bad nobody thought the Suns should go out and get a forward with some size, right?

They don’t have much depth and until Jalen Green comes back it’s going to be an uphill battle. They don’t give up though and it’s nice to see
“Kobe had said (after the play) I wasn’t hugged enough as a child,” Bell recalled. “My mom kind of found him after the instance and we had beat them and offered him a hug in the bowels of the Phoenix arena. She really feels a part of that story.”

Both teams showed greatness and ineptness. Both extreme measures.

Ott is pretty good with these challenges

Yeah, that was very well done. And of course, the hustle by Royce.

If Suns lose they’ll look to the free throw line and rebounding

And...you see the limitations of Mark Williams as a defender. He had to contest that shot.

BOOKER IS SO fucking SLOW my God he's regressed so much these last 2 years.

Mark williams is great.

Allen and Booker are the slowest backcourt in the league.

Oso is not an nba player!!!!! He's just not. He's too small doesn't rebound but also can't shoot.

Up 133-130….out scored 8-1. Had several opportunities but is what it is

Well at least we have our first round pick this year when we inevitably have a bad season…

Thinking we go with Royce but would like to see more size - NHD is a bit bigger but kinda sucks. Fleming would be cool. Or Dunn at the 3, Oso at the 4 and Williams at the 5 with absolutely no spacing.
You didn't think of Livers, did you? :P He played well in his minutes.

I don't know what Ott was expecting with that lineup to start. Puts the SL at a total disadvantage and they look like they don't even believe they can hold up. He better get creative.

I also hate that we're so rigid with what feels like some overarching plan for the team and the young guys.
I agree regarding the lineup, there's no where near enough offence in that group to start a game. You're just asking to get put into a hole that your second unit will struggle to get out of. If you don't have Green and Brooks you have to start Williams/Richards who at least give you some offence inside. Even with Brooks, I don't think you can accommodate Oso and Dunn in a lineup for extended minutes, they're both awful offensively.

Tough game, totally winnable but I put this one on Ott for not adjusting the starting lineup or the lineup at halftime. Should've gone bigger and the team just looked defeated to start. We get down 20 every single game now. Oso at the 4 looked decent for the few minutes we tried it but starting him at center just isn't going to work. CG and Williams should be starting by now but then the issue becomes what to do with CG when Green gets back. We need a PG out there tho. Markannen went for 50, Wemby might have 80.

Really good game by Williams, who Ott kept out there for 30 minutes so that plan for him went out the window when the game was in reach. Richards was really good, too. Those guys have a lot of value in these kinds of games with bigger frontcourts. Even so, we got crushed on the boards 64-48 and gave up 28 ORs because Ott played too small too much. I liked Livers in his minutes but if this is the developmental year, why not throw Fleming out there and see what he can bring. I know we don't have a lot of options so we're going offense first with Royce playing those forward minutes but he's just another guy too small to keep up with most PFs.

If we're looking for moral victories, we might go 82-0 and then Ishbia will have a parade. But I'd like to see us win some of these games. The Jazz are beatable, we'll see how we do against the Grizzies but Book just played 44 minutes, Royce played 46 and Allen played 40. Hope they rest up.
