It is what it is. He used to sleepwalk to 18 and 10 when he had something to prove. He used to play hard for stretches when his coach and teammates held him to a high standard. Now all that's gone and he'll be 14/10-ish. Interested to see if they JJ or Luka/LeBron make a concerted effort to raise his effort and level of play.
Ayton has only reached 18/10 twice in career and just barely at that. He's a 14/10 guy who was carried by the players around him. He's trash.
Which is a shame as he could be a 25/15 guy if he had any dawg in him at all. But only in contract years. Sporadically.
Not sure if I've said it here or to friends in the past, but if you put Amare's heart and desire into Ayton's body and you have a perennial MVP candidate. What a shame.
Add in Sophie Cunningham's karate skills, and ... maybe this is getting out of hand

I'm all in on Sophie Cunningham. (Do with that what you will.)

I have no idea what they're advertising but I'm always stopped dead in my tracks by the two hot blondes commercial starring Sophie during Suns games.
Synchronicity and all that jazz, man.

Sophie Cunningham definitely does something to me inside.
What is smallball? I play basketball. I'm not a regular big man. I can switch from the center to the guards. The game is evolving. I'd be dominAyton if the WNBA would let me in. - Ayton

Is it gas? If it persists longer than a few hours I'd get it checked out.
Go Suns!

DA/Lakers watch: He had 29 points (on 14/19 shooting), 10 rebounds, 3 blocks in their win yesterday over Portland.

Yeah, I watched some of that game. Classic Ayton against his former teams. Had one of his best games and was really giving effort throughout.

Revenge game for waiving him, I guess.

Always the infuriating thing about that bum.... He's lazy and chooses when to play.

19 shots and only 2 FTs. But that's the kind of game that fools people into thinking "If he can play like that consistently we've got a top 5 center!".

Yeah, agreed on all counts. We've always known what DA was capable of at his best. That has never been the issue. The issue is motivation, consistency, playing hard and smart and playing the right way. Good money says he has, like, 7 points in their next game now that he is relieved of his temporary motivation to play hard against his former team.

It’s pretty telling that he has these revenge games
