I thought they looked great at times playing an aggressive swarming defense on the perimeter. I agree that their defense on the interior was definitely lacking though. A lot of poorly timed jumping to block shots like pogo sticks and bad fouls inside, although some were pretty questionable.

What is smallball? I play basketball. I'm not a regular big man. I can switch from the center to the guards. The game is evolving. I'd be dominAyton if the WNBA would let me in. - Ayton

I agree with not trading Brooks but not because of any player backlash. That's like last year when people thought players wouldn't sign here because we promised Ty Jones a starting spot and then benched him. Players largely don't care. Even the bad PR from going behind KD's back to try and trade him hasn't affected things. You don't trade Brooks because he fits well with what we're doing and the culture we're developing. He's setting the tone, like it or not. I wouldn't say he's untradeable or irreplaceable, but he's extremely valuable to us right now.
Where it might get tricky is next season when he's heading into free agency. We don't need a Jae Crowder situation where he's asking for more money than we're willing to give on an extension. He might be looking at his last big contract and we'll have to decide whether he's worth it at 32 years old.

Great game. It's easy to feel great after a win like that, or to get down on the team when shots aren't falling. The thing about this year's team is that they play the right way. Mistakes they make are just mistakes and they can learn and grow through them.

Someone's mighty full of themselves.... hard to set screens when you're in street clothes most of the time.

Enjoy the Brad Beal experience, LA Clippers! Between KD, Beal, Ayton, and some others, there is a lot of schadenfreude to go around for Suns fans this year.

Ya, I looked at their roster to check and he’s really the only big they play off the bench..I doubt they’d consider it.ShelC wrote: ↑Fri Nov 07, 2025 8:45 amI've advocated for some Beef Stew in the past, just not sure if he'd be available. The Pistons kind of have the same problem we do in terms of having lots of skill on the perimeter but in need of size and toughness inside, which he provides. They could use a backup C, probably have less use for a SF like Royce and they also have Ivey working his way back from injury.

Is that what anyone was expecting? He's a 3 level scorer, not SGA or Luka. He was good enough for 29pts on 50% shooting tho and that's what we need.

I don’t mean to be condescending, but who is Jason Timpf?
I’m not worried about Green being some high level playmaker anyways. I did see a couple nice easy reads he made. He also passed the ball to Williams once way too early that ended up as a turnover. Still, I want Green to score. I want him to get up 3 point shots at a high volume. I don’t have a problem with him taking contested catch and shoot 3s or deep 3s. He’s got a really nice shot and athleticism to get the shot off.
There was really only a couple pull up 3s that seemed out of rhythm…it was when he did it twice in a row either late 3rd or early 4th…first I would write off as a heat check, but I think Ott called a timeout and pulled him after he did it again. That will be a bit frustrating if he does stuff like that when he’s not having a good game…
Hard to not be impressed with his first game though.

One of the least self-aware athletes I've had the displeasure of rooting for.

I read that he averaged 13.9 shots as a Sun. Doesn't know what he is talking about.

My lasting memory of the Bradley Beal experience will be him saying "I don't get swept" prior to game 4 against the Timberwolves and proceeding to play the worst basketball game anyone has ever played ensuring we got swept. I mean look at this turd of a box score, he single-handedly wasted 82 combined points from Booker (49) and Durant (33):

I thought Beal was decent that first year…that playoff series not included. He adjusted his style of play and mostly did what was asked…they clearly wanted him to adjust even more the next year and he passed. He sucked and he didn’t really even pretend to play hard…hard for me to care that much though because no one played hard on the team last year…glad he’s gone…I don’t care enough to boo him though

I do hope/worry we get something out of Maluach...he needs to play to get better. If its going to be a bunch of DNPs, they should stash him in the G league for a bit so he gets some time...
VTThus, get him minutes in the G leagues is better than being a bench warmer...

I think somebody talked to Dillon about the "Hollywood" look on the bench with the dark shades. Last night he looked like a Mormon missionary and he didn't wear sunglasses.
