IMO the Rockets and Suns KD experience are almost identical. Rox get the moral victory on this one, but the results are the same.
Why do they get the moral victory?
We gave up so more, and they still have FV and Sengun on the roster. Fans could tell themselves that the ship will right next season.

Maybe since they gave up less?
I'm really loving what they gave up. I think Brooks and (potentially) Green are a bigger gain for is than Mikal and Cam. Those draft picks we gave up though...
Yeah, those picks, man. And less dramatically, we also gave up every single forward we had for salary reasons. We were left playing Okogie and Warren in the playoffs, IIRC.

Houston is also still way better than we were last year. They’ve struggled lately, but they’ve been a top 5 team all year and are 3-0 against us…maybe a bit premature to start the victory laps because we have spent 1 day of the season ahead of them in the standings.

Like I said, it was two and a half years later so the haul should be less but yeah, that was totally the Suns fault for giving away our future. That is no moral victory for Houston. Just a bad decision by Ishbia.
Synchronicity and all that jazz, man.

I’ll stop haha, but I want my opinion noted that Houston is good and I’ll be surprised come playoff time if they aren’t more successful this year than last. So that means they’ll be in round 2 at the very least.

Yeah...unfortunately, I'll have to agree with you. But even if it's only one day, I'm going to enjoy it that we are ahead of them in the standings.

They've also have had an easier schedule versus us this year in games played and who they've played their games against.

Fun responses here if anyone needs some cheering up! It's not KD's fault, fire the coach, fire the GM, trade everyone but KD and Sengun, bring back Dillon....

KD stans are insufferable to deal with, I'm glad they left with him.
