BTW, this isn't Suns or NBA-related, but I thought I'd mention that my wife and I are expecting our new baby (our 5th!) to arrive in the next 1-2 weeks. She's very pregnant right now and starting to have some dilation and contractions and such things that indicate that baby should be coming soon. Another lil Suns fan will arrive soon! I'll keep y'all posted!
Congrats! You must be making some crazy income to support a growing family of 5 in this economy and this world

Does your wife stay at home to help manage the flock?
flock? more like a herd lol :P

Yeah, day care and everything else, boy it adds up $$$. Luckily they tend to graduate up to kindergarten at about the rate that we keep popping them out; our third is starting K this fall, so we'll only have 3 in daycare for a few months at most.

Luckily my wife and I both work so we can make the ends meet. We're both generally in the tech sector so fingers crossed that we don't have a downturn or recession or big layoffs or anything like that.

Thankfully you guys are still 3 to 4 years away from AI Agents taking your job.
What is smallball? I play basketball. I'm not a regular big man. I can switch from the center to the guards. The game is evolving. I'd be dominAyton if the WNBA would let me in. - Ayton

I was thinking about that earlier today. Glad I got out when I did. Never thought I'd see the day where my type of work could get replaced by AI.

I'm not sure A.I. can ever fully replace a skill set like what you have with music... I can see where it'll make things easier, but to fully conceptualize something that'll be endured by other humans I don't see happening anytime soon and for the simple fact that there's going to be some resentment with A.I. Just look right now at all of the gaming studios getting dragged and awards taken away who utilized A.I. I also think there's going to be some serious backlash with A.I. driving up prices on everything, not to mention all of the water and utilities needed to run it.

My experience is tech is that AI is as good as a new junior developer. We still need senior people reviewing code, handling the tricky parts, and making big picture decisions.

Removing young people from the industry is going to bad long term, but right now someone like Bone is not affected at all by AI.

Bone's a musician too? I remember Nodack is a drummer...

Well, Suno's already singing better than a lot of professionals out there...

Opus 4.6 and Claude Code, folks are now able to have agent orchestration at one layer with singular agent oversight and 16 agents working beneath. One programing, one UAT testing, one regression testing, one building OCM documentation, etc.

As someone that's at the front lines of the latest and greatest in this world, it's making scary strides in areas. I'm an alarmist working at the forefront of the agentic world. The number of companies I'm working with, huge ones, that are willing to adopt even the problematic versions of lesser models to save money and eliminate all of their L1 support desk is very scary. All to save $ and have 24x7 workforces. Everyone is bypassing the red tape and ignoring any sort of governance and oversight.

We'll be extinct by 2030, but hey!

Yes, I am a musician (playing in a couple bands at the moment), but I was an audio programmer for the last 22 years of my career. And Nodack is a guitarist, not a drummer. I've seen him perform.

I thought he was a drummer, my bad. Well, if it was the case, he wouldn't be a musician
