Game Day (Playoffs Round 1, Game 3): Thunder (2-0) @ Suns (0-2), Sat 4/25/26

Post by Superbone »

Time: 12:30 pm AZ (12:30 pm PT/3:30 pm ET)
Place: Mortgage Matchup Center, Phoenix, AZ
TV: NBC/Peacock

The Suns return home to face the defending champions down two games in the best of seven series. It will be interesting to see if we get a better whistle at home. The Thunder will be without Jalen Williams who suffered a Grade 1 left hamstring strain in Game 2. Starting center Mark Williams remains out for the Suns while they hope to maybe get Grayson Allen and/or Jordan Goodwin back for this one. Maluach will most likely play due to Williams absence and he made a difference in the 4th quarter last time out. Suns fans have been clamoring for Rasheer Fleming to get some playing time as it seems his size and athleticism would help the Suns cause.

The chances of us making a real series of this aren’t great at all but are zero if we can’t win this one. Don’t think we can win with Brooks and Green taking 10 more shots each than Book - so gotta find a way to get more shots for him (book finding his 3-point shot would be handy as well). Then just scrap like hell down the other end. Go Suns!

Start treating each game as though it’s your last one and worry about just winning this game. I think we’ll get this one.

Agree. Refs will favor Suns due to criticism and Maluach will make a difference. Maybe even Fleming.

We'll see. It could be even worse.

Do or die game for the Suns. This is our best chance in the whole series to steal a game. Now that Houston looks likely to get swept, we have to win 1 game just to be able to say we won more playoff games than the much ballyhooed KD Rockets. It'll still be an uphill battle but I would love to see it.

Who is that one ref that always explains the challenges in the most logical and descriptive but hilarious way?

Allen has already hit a couple of 3s. It is good to have him out there. I like Booker/Grayson as a backcourt pairing much more than Booker/Green fwiw.
