We're running it back, folks. The only hope for size is by playing our youth. The Spurs are the model for that.
Sure, their size is an 8'4" space freak.
Maluach is only 19. He is still growing so we have a chance. ;-)
The Spurs model I'm talking about is playing youth. Not lucking into alien freaks.
Synchronicity and all that jazz, man.

Um, no!

Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha! Get real, Bulls fans!

Yeah, we're going to trade down a known #10 pick for some unknown #15 pick because we already have a center that didn't make it to the post season. Makes a lot of sense. NOT! This is just a microcosm of all the stupid and unrealistic trade ideas NBA fans have for their teams.
Synchronicity and all that jazz, man.

I'm not too worried about Fleming getting minutes next year. He wasn't ready at the start of last season, but he is ready now. I've got some hope for Maluach, too, but I'm less confident about him. I'm still not read to rush to a judgement on him.

And I still don't think size is our biggest issue. Gotta move Green because he just doesn't fir the identity of this team.
"Hey, Jane - get me off this crazy thing called love." - Charlie, but also Suns fans wishing we didn't have to watch more 4th quarter small ball but knowing we will tune in for the next game.

Draft Rumors: Wizards, Jazz, Mara, Bucks, Nets, Kings, Suns

Phoenix currently only has one pick (47th overall), but league sources tell Kevin O’Connor of Yahoo Sports the Suns will explore the possibility of acquiring a first-round selection.

So the player personnel department will be doing their job. Is that the report, Kevin O'Connor? Great info.

Of course they will, everybody does it!!

Phoenix: "Hey, I'm looking to get my way into this year draft, do you have some offer?"

Portland: "Would you like to take my draft pick on exchange of money considerations from your deep pocket owner?" (Hopefully)
Chicago: "Would you like to take my mid-draft 1st in exchange of your project center that is already showing some promise?"

Haha sounds crazy in this age but this would be only fitting as it is exactly what happened with Sarver took over and he sold pick #27 in 2006 (Sergio Rodríguez) to the Blazers.

On a serious note, we have a movable 2027 1stR (worst of MIN and CLE) that could make a trade into the first round more feasible. Of course the 2027 draft is said to suck in comparison with 2026 but who knows, especially if we put pieces like Allen or Royce on the table for win-now teams.

I think calling Portland is a smart idea. With El Cheapo in charge there, maybe they're willing to sell their picks and/or players for cheap. They have plenty of interesting assets.

We've got a rare gift from Ishbia. Free TV. Who woulda thunk it?

Everybody else is monetizing it and making us watch a ton of different streaming services to watch the NBA.

Synchronicity and all that jazz, man.

I appreciate Ishbia. Either his heart is in the right place or he has foresight and wisdom. Either way, a boon to the fans.

Now, if we could only roll back the terrible trades he started out with...

Could be worse, look at the cheap shit that just purchased the Blazers.

I don't feel too bad for the Blazers fans. They just went almost 40 years with some of the deepest pockets in the league.

Almost everyone would be OK to trade Green. Even it is for guys that have struggled to find their way like Zion. Hell green was our best player in the playoffs and Dillon was probably our 2nd best. Why trade either of those guys unless we get someone legitimately better, not a pipedream like Morant either.

I think Book, Green and Dillon make a nice core. It is up to the front office to get them some bigger folks to support what they do. Better defense and rebounding is desperately needed.

My biggest question is what our Center/PF rotation going to be next year. We have potential in Maluach and Fleming and possibly a keeper in Williams if he can stay healthy. The injury to Williams and lack of experience of Maluach and Fleming gave us zero chance against OKC.
What was the reason to get rid of Monty again? Oh yeah, that guy we drafted rather than Doncic.

I don’t really agree with the first 2 paragraphs. Green was great in the play-in but shot 38% from the field and 20% from 3 against the Thunder. When the Thunder game plan was to swarm Book and let other guys beat them, Green didn’t step up.

In terms of fit, I think 1 out of Green/Brooks can fit with Booker but not both. They just don’t have any playmaking ability (Green can’t pass and Brooks won’t) which leaves Book to create for the team entirely by himself. I think Brooks’ D is overrated but at least it’s still a plus. Book/Green is just not a great defensive backcourt. Between the two, factoring in contract, it makes more sense to part with Green.
