I fully expect Ishbia and Co to address it head-on in an attempt to cut off any questioning and move past it quickly. Ishbia will be forceful and demonstrative as always assuring everyone they looked into the allegations, met and spoke with Miles and feel he's a different person now; how they wouldn't have traded for him if they didn't feel good about his character, etc. I'd bet any follow up questions will be stonewalled with "we've addressed that" or "we're here to talk about the future, not the past" kind of statements. The only way to get to Ishbia and Gregory would be if every media member just continued asking follow up questions to where they'd cut the press conference short. That would send a real message but I'm guessing that won't happen.Superbone wrote: ↑Mon Jun 29, 2026 10:04 amI think it's imperative that the Suns address this. So then, on the KJ note, since it was while he was still in Phoenix, what was your opinion at the time and that of Suns fans? I'm not sure what that argument is getting at. That sose and others conveniently overlooked that but are against this? Morals didn't exist then but exist now? Also, at that time, was social media, etc, as rampant?iLLmatic wrote: ↑Mon Jun 29, 2026 11:15 am"I hold more authority than the rest of you Suns fans because I ran a Suns site that had 6-7 million hits every month"sose wrote: ↑Mon Jun 29, 2026 9:06 amHow so though? I think it's foolish to just assume sose or other fans (myself, etc) were cool with KJ doing the horrible shit he did.
Personally, I think it's shitty for anyone, especially any of us, to shit on sose regarding this. If it weren't for him, we wouldn't all be here talking today with Mori carrying it forward. We wouldn't know each other. I'm not understanding the moral police that are judging him for his moral views regarding this absolutely shitty trade that brought one of the shittiest people to our team that has done nothing beyond his court mandated work in regards to helping victims of DV or doing more for the community. I've deep dived into that yesterday and today and there's nothing out there that shows he's done work or is actively doing work.
Not a fan of your attack towards sose iLLmatic.

I expect CHO to trade Allen and O'Neale at the deadline. I'll be watching to see what value they get.Mori Chu wrote: ↑Sun Jun 28, 2026 12:57 pmIf you look at this trade from Charlotte's perspective, it's a steal. They are clearly rebuilding, given that they shipped out LaMelo. In that light:
- They ship out a guy with major character issues who doesn't fit their new rebuild timeline.
- He was on an expiring contract, so now they don't have to worry about extending him for huge $$$ or losing him for nothing.
- They get way better at shooting with two snipers on the wing.
- They get two very tradeable contracts that lots of contending teams would want.
- They get a 2033 1st that is quite likely to be a juicy high-lottery pick.
I think they totally won this trade, even if Miles turns out to play well for us. Excellent trade for a rebuilding team from their perspective.
And the 1st they are sending us is poodoo.
^ That is going to be a really mediocre 1st round pick. The first-round pick the Hornets are sending out will be the least favorable from Charlotte, Utah, Cleveland or Minnesota in 2029.

Yup. "We believe in second chances." "Miles has shown a commitment to bettering himself and the community" "He wasn't throwing billiards balls at the car, he was trying to play catch with his kid through the windshield" blah, blah, blah.ShelC wrote: ↑Mon Jun 29, 2026 10:27 amI fully expect Ishbia and Co to address it head-on in an attempt to cut off any questioning and move past it quickly. Re: Suns trade Grayson Allen, Royce O'Neale for Miles Bridges
I just rolled my eyes so hard, I saw my own brain.
I don't recall many asking for "Bold" moves and even so, they don't have to also be stupid. It's embarrassing to be a fan of the team with this front office sometimes. We went from a frugal, scumbag owner to a megalomaniacal one. Neither seemed/seems to understand how to value assets or the draft and the resulting consequences of not placing the right value on them - even with multiple recent examples staring them in the face.
You already know Ishbia or his mouthpiece are going to get asked about the pick and they're going to say something glib like "we're trying to win, we don't care about some 6th grader" as if that's how any of this works.

Welcome back, Sose. I'm with you on this issue. Will probably still follow the team while refusing to spend money on tickets (in Macau) and League Pass.

I was young, but I never heard about the KJ stuff until well after his career. I don’t know what the New Times is, but it’s possible it wasn’t very widely known about KJ.

There's an organization for that and it's called the police. And above that, God if you believe. That is not the Suns role and he is not trying to marry your daughter. He's a basketball player. If he plays hard, plays the right way and helps my team then I'll root for him on the court.ShelC wrote: ↑Mon Jun 29, 2026 10:27 amI fully expect Ishbia and Co to address it head-on in an attempt to cut off any questioning and move past it quickly. Taking a break for the summer. Need to let this situation cool off for a bit and see what else is in store. Definitely a low point in my time as a fan (there have been many). Don't need to let this bullshit get to me as well. Seems some folks don't care that we brought a beyond deplorable player onto the roster. Glad to see many folks are rightfully opposed here as well.

Getting on the Internet to tell fans that you're no longer a fan is the corniest shit ever.
It's like being a street evangelist. No one wants to hear that.

Re: Suns trade Grayson Allen, Royce O'Neale for Miles Bridges
While that is true, I think this case is a bit different. Many of us have been on .net for a decade or longer and this feels much more like a community or a village or a group of friends than the internet. And when my friends hurt I appreciate that they tell me about it. Over the years I have poured too much of my mental health into this team and it’s not healthy. And if when I come to express my hurt, I’d hope to get a slightly friendly response. Anyway, everyone is entitled to their opinions obviously, and this is the internet after all.
AIG I really feel for you buddy.

Remove all of the domestic violence shit and it's still a bullshit basketball decision. Care to argue otherwise? But I'm glad you felt the need to call me out. Take a bow. The Internet is a place to dump a whole lot of bullshit. Calling me out in the process of doing so, dumping my corny shit in the Internet, in a corner of the Internet with a limited audience... Well done.
