Suns News: 2026 Offseason Edition

No idea who this is. Take with a grain of salt.
Synchronicity and all that jazz, man.
Re: Suns News: 2026 Offseason Edition
Briefly looking at his account I’d say he’s not someone to give much credibility too. He reposts a lot of breaking news and seems like maybe he’s just trying to pretend like he knows stuff..there’s obvious dots to connect with DeJounte..dots we’ve all connected already. I don’t think he knows more than any of us do.

Yeah, could be trying to get lucky and then say he called it.Split T wrote: ↑Wed Jul 08, 2026 11:43 amBriefly looking at his account I’d say he’s not someone to give much credibility too. Dejounte Murray averaged 16.7 ppg on 48.4/30.6/86.7 splits, 5.4 reb, 6.4 ast, 1.6 stl, 3.6 TO last year. His assist number is a bit higher than I thought it would be. I liked Murray a lot a few years ago, but I was discouraged to see how much he struggled on his past few teams. For example he was a bad fit with Trae Young, where I thought those guys could maybe be a two-headed monster at guard and carve teams up. So I'm a little leery of his fit with Booker and the rest of our lineup. His 3pt% is also pretty bad. The 1.6 steals are nice; is he a good defender generally these days? I haven't seen enough tape of him to know. The rebounding numbers are also really interesting, didn't realize he was grabbing so many boards.
I'm not super duper excited about Murray, but I could be convinced that he'd be better than Jalen Green next to Booker, so long as we don't throw in any 1sts to get it done.

Re: Suns News: 2026 Offseason Edition
He's played like 40 games over the last 2 seasons and is 6 years older than Green. No thank you.
Re: Suns News: 2026 Offseason Edition
He passes the ball though…we seem to be collecting a lot of guys who don’t pass
Re: Suns News: 2026 Offseason Edition
I’d take him over Green.
No way the Pelicans take Green with Jordan Poole already there. That’s the Spider-Man meme personified.

Re: Suns News: 2026 Offseason Edition
I like the idea of Murray but I don’t think he’s played that style in a while. And I’m not so sure about his personality either. I remember some spat with Banchero when he first came into the league.
Re: Suns News: 2026 Offseason Edition
Murray would fit our identity defensively a lot more than Green, and he doe pass the ball.
That said, I'm not trading Green unless I get some draft capitol back. If they want our younger, more explosive scorer, then they have to sweeten the pot.

"Hey, Jane - get me off this crazy thing called love." - Charlie, but also Suns fans wishing we didn't have to watch more 4th quarter small ball but knowing we will tune in for the next game.

Re: Suns News: 2026 Offseason Edition
I'm not in love with trading Green for Murray. What I would love is for Gillespie to start at PG, Booker, SG, Brooks SF, Bridges PF, and Williams/Maluach at C, and let Green win 6th man of the year off the bench.
Re: Suns News: 2026 Offseason Edition
Can't pass the ball from bench though. He's never been the healthiest player and he's definitely not the guy he was in San Antonio.

Yeah, a Murray for Green swap doesn't really do it for me based on the age difference and injury history.

Re: Suns News: 2026 Offseason Edition
That’s fair…his health would be worrisome. I just don’t know who is going to help Booker get good shots on this team.
Re: Suns News: 2026 Offseason Edition
Gillespie and Spencer...as of now. Two Shoes as well.

Re: Suns News: 2026 Offseason Edition
I'm with you on that.
Our best offensive lineup might be
Gillespie / Booker / Bridges / Fleming / Oso

I'd replace Oso with Williams if we're talking offense.O_Gardino wrote: ↑Thu Jul 09, 2026 12:03 pmI'm with you on that.

Re: Suns News: 2026 Offseason Edition
I have a feeling our top lineup might be:
Gillespie/Goodwin/Booker/Oso
Still debating the 5th guy…I kinda hate that it might be Bridges…I really want it to be Fleming
