Sorry I don’t know where to put this so this seemed as good a thread as any. I’ve been getting kicked out of my login very frequently the last day or two, even if I don’t post or like a post or interact with the site in any way, I get kicked out after a few hours. Has this happened to anyone else?

I haven't had any issues. I'm primarily on via the website on my MacBook using Safari.

I’m running the same setup and have had no issues lately.

I would start with a soft reset on your iPhone. Press volume up, then volume down, then hold the power button until the apple returns to the screen.

For what it's worth, I'm seeing the same issue. I'm being logged out and forced to relog essentially every time I try to access the site. Safari on Mac. The issue just began in the last two days.

Is this a Safari issue? Anybody experiencing such problems on another browser that isn't Safari?

I can't speak to different browsers. It's happening both on my iPhone and on my MacBook. Every single time I come back and refresh the site.

Hmm, I don't know what would cause this, but I do have a Mac laptop with Safari and I'll do some testing later today. I also have next week off and should be able to work on this issue. If any of you want to try testing it in another browser such as Chrome or Firefox or whatever, that would be useful data, but I know it's a lot to ask somebody to change their browser just for one dumb site. Will report back if I figure out anything. Hang in there!

I’ve actually had no issues for about a day now (knock on wood). If they recur I’ll try this on chrome on my phone and report back.

Ha! I started browsing today and was surprised that I was still logged in. Read a few posts and even commented on one. Then, I just now clicked on the new messages in this thread and I was suddenly looking at the first page and I was logged out! That's the first time I've EVER seen that behavior. Getting logged out between threads.

I can already tell you it's a Safari issue. It's already logged me off multiple times today including just now between thread which is a brand new behavior. I haven't got knocked off once on Firefox in that time.

It's official: Marty versus the Safari; who will win, and where will you be placing your pets?🫢

I did some Googling. Can somebody on Safari try these steps and see if they help?
Safari frequently drops phpBB logins due to aggressive privacy features and IP masking. A common cause is the browser's "Prevent cross-site tracking" or iCloud Private Relay. Adjusting a few settings will usually keep your sessions active.

Try These Quick Fixes (For Users):

If you are a member browsing the forum, you can prevent Safari from dropping your cookies by adjusting these settings:
Disable Prevent Cross-Site Tracking:
Open Safari.
Click Safari in your top menu bar and select Settings (or Preferences).
Go to the Privacy tab.
Uncheck Prevent cross-site tracking.

Turn Off iCloud Private Relay (If enabled):
Go to your Mac’s System Settings > [Your Name] > iCloud > Private Relay.
Temporarily turn this off, as it masks your IP address, which frequently confuses phpBB session security.

Always Check "Log me in automatically":
Ensure you check the "Log me in automatically" (or "Remember me") box every time you sign in. This generates a persistent browser token.

I just turned off cross-site tracking. The other two I already had. Will let you know what happens...

Still happened again. Meanwhile, Firefox hasn't had the issue once since I've started using it.
