The NBA announced the decision Wednesday. The Clippers will be stripped of first-round picks in the 2029, 2030, 2031, 2032 and 2033 NBA Drafts. The 2029 pick is the unprotected first-rounder the Clippers received from the Indiana Pacers in last season's Ivica Zubac trade.
The league is also suspending Ballmer "from all league and team activities for one year." Clippers president of basketball operations Lawrence Frank also has been suspended without pay for six months.
The league also banned Robertson, Leonard's uncle and business associate known as "Uncle Dennis."
"Mr. Robertson is banned from conducting business or otherwise engaging with NBA teams and their affiliates on behalf of or with respect to any player, employee, or other league or team personnel for a period of five years," the league announced.
The NBA has issued a ruling in the Clippers / Kawhi case. I'm reading that they are stripping the team of five future 1st round picks and fining them $30m, and suspending Ballmer and Lawrence Frank. It sounds like Kawhi himself is not being very heavily punished, only being given a $700k fine. Wow. (Should we make a new thread just for this? Not sure.)

I think it was the other way around, the clippers lose the pacers pick they acquired. The pacers didn’t acquire any picks…They did mention that the pacers don’t get the pick back though, it just disappears…but they had no claim on it anymore.

But for real. Let’s throw them Green, Dunn and a first for Garland.
Clippers losing their picks does help us get a slightly better player each year, assuming we’d finish behind of them in the draft order.
I like Garland, but that's a massive overpay.
I did a quick AI sanity check and it thinks the trade is fair. Without the trade, it would be biased towards the Suns. I agree -- Garland is almost all star caliber but Green isn't. I did like how Green played in the two play-in games.
But for real. Let’s throw them Green, Dunn and a first for Garland.
