I think they're stating an objection to Sophie's politics and recent statements on various issues.
I know what they are doing and it’s ridiculous.
She wasn't worth a shit, bring back Lindsey Smith.

I don't think it is ridiculous, regardless of whether one agrees or disagrees with Cunningham. If you don't like somebody's views and don't want to support them, it is fine to stop supporting them. That's your right to do so; nothing more American / freedomy than letting people make that choice for themselves. If you personally don't mind what Sophie has said/done and do still support her, that's fine. But others aren't crazy for having a different view of it.

Nah, she's a ****. Don't want her anywhere near the Suns. I have to much empathy for the most vulnerable amongst us, I guess. But good thing there are people like me who care, that's all I will say.
Go Suns!

I have 4 daughters, 2 of which were college athletes. I care more about them having to compete against men or be forced to use a locker with men than somebodies feelings.

As a player she's pretty much free to express whatever she wants. As a broadcaster you represent your club in a much different way and your comments are more likely to be associated with the team than those of a player. For instance, Charles Barkley is a godsend to Inside the NBA because they're selling strong opinions that will turn heads, but a team may be reluctant to hire someone with Barkley's candor as a color commentator. They're aiming for a broader fan base.

Come on man, we don't need to name call each other. Let's all agree to keep politics out of our sports.

Politics aside, I think it is so obvious that biological men competing in biological women's sports makes zero sense and causes physical discrepancies that are unfair. I also think it is so obvious that making it an agenda to argue against it as if it is happening, when it isn't, feels like an intended or unintended political ploy or uproar that is completely unnecessary.

I don't know one female, and I have a large family of school age, high school and college female athletes, that has to deal with biological males or transgendered athletes in their locker room or playing their respective sports. The constant dialogue and debate around it is exhausting and unnecessary.

What is smallball? I play basketball. I'm not a regular big man. I can switch from the center to the guards. The game is evolving. I'd be dominAyton if the WNBA would let me in. - Ayton

People with zero common sense are the only ones who think this is actually an issue. Those people also think this country is thriving, Jews are the problem, haitians eat cats, Michelle Obama is a man and Sandy Hook was a hoax. I can go on for days about how stupid these people are, I wont, but I could.

Agreed. 99% of the population agrees with this no matter what side of the politics spectrum.

It’s sad, I don’t watch the WNBA, but by all accounts they are hitting new heights in level of play, viewers, etc, and some people are just trying to score political points and take away from what they are doing on the court. Too bad

I do watch a fair amount of wnba and it's not just that. The league itself is doing everything it can to get in its own way. Nobody hates seeing women succeed more than other women.

My suggestion is we agree to set aside the trans/Sophie thread of discussion at this point. Seems like folks have generally had a chance to say their 2 cents and state their views, and we don't totally agree on it, and while I don't want to censor or delete posts, I also don't want the board to get too political or testy, especially in the main Suns/NBA area. As much as possible I want to get along well with my good friends (you guys!) and family even if we don't 100% agree on various important issues.

It’s crazy to me that Robert Horry is saying not to sleep on the Suns. 🤔

Maybe his reasoning is, "I don't play for this Suns team, so they won't throw in the towel."
