Your All-Time Favorite for Each Team

Post by The Bobster »

I'm just wondering who your favorite player (that you've seen play for them) might be from each team (realizing that there will be some teams that you skip because you're indifferent to them or just plain hate them) -

Atlanta -
Boston -
NY Nets/New Jersey/Brooklyn
Charlotte -
Chicago -
Cleveland -
Dallas -
Denver -
Detroit -
Golden State -
San Diego/Houston -
Indiana -
Buffalo/San Diego/LA Clippers -

Charlotte/New Orleans -
NY Knicks -
San Antonio -
Seattle/Oklahoma City -
Orlando
Philadelphia
Phoenix -
Portland -
Kansas City/Sacramento -
Toronto -
Utah -
Washington -

My List (I tried to avoid players who also played for the Suns, but sometimes it's unavoidable, I also tried to list players for more than one team or players who played somewhere for a year or two) -

Seattle/Oklahoma City - Dennis Johnson
Toronto - Damon Stoudamire (I guess)
Utah - Jeff Hornacek
Washington - Elvin Hayes (sorry Bradley Beal fans!)

I did mine without looking at everyone else and I’m really regretting leaving Pistons Grant Hill off mine haha…I couldn’t come up with anyone, so I just went with Ausar haha

My favorite didn’t play for any of those franchises.

Curly Neal. Absolutely adored him when I was… young.

The Globetrotters in their heyday were huge. I can remember watching them fairly regularly in Wide World of Sports and when they had their own cartoon. And Meadowlark Lemon might have been the "big star" but Curly Neal was my favorite too.

Of course we all knew that the actual games were set up for the Globetrotters to win, and they used the same reams every game, but they were recognized and loved worldwide in the 70s, just like Ali and Pele.

Spoiler alert? I have a feeling that he adored you, too.

And if you dare to disagree?

Nash. Got us two firsts and two seconds by going there, then didn’t do much for them.
