Here's a place to discuss Monday's Suns Media Day. The #KeefBeef factor will keep things interesting. Lots of new guys to meet and see how they interact with their teammates. Guys like Chandler, Teletovic, Weems, Leuer, and Booker. Everybody but Morris got together very early this year for informal workouts.
Media Day will be streamed on Suns.com. Post pictures and video in this thread.
Random comment: I'm pretty impressed with Tyson Chandler's displays of leadership already. He arrived here early, he's been working with other bigs like Len, he has explicitly reached out to Markieff and wants to try to help patch up that situation, etc. Good stuff that a veteran leader should do.
It could be really good for Len as long as his minutes don't suffer. I'm hoping coach will commit to letting them play at least a part of every game together.

Kieff showing some maturity. No circus today. If he keeps a positive attitude we are a better team with him. Hopefully Chandler can actually get him to play some defense though.
What the hell? He promised us a tantrum. Damn bait and switch!
“Are you crazy?! You think I’m going to go for seven years and try to get there? You enjoy the 2030 draft picks that we have holding? I want to try to see the game today.” — Ish 3/13/25
He has zero leverage, Its really his only option unless he wants to be sent home for conduct detrimental to the team and not paid.
This is exactly why you don't trade him for a bang of beans like so many wanted....He has major value when he isn't pising and moaning and its in the best interest of his job for him to stop, atleast publicly, bitching and moaning. The sooner he does that, the sooner we can deal him if thats what the end game is. His value cannot get any lower and will be pretty easy to raise significantly with that value contract he has.

“Kobe had said (after the play) I wasn’t hugged enough as a child,” Bell recalled. “My mom kind of found him after the instance and we had beat them and offered him a hug in the bowels of the Phoenix arena. She really feels a part of that story.”
Wonder how him and P.J. Tucker will interact after what his bro said about PJ?

Chandler on Bledsoe and Knight
"I told them, it's their team"
Bledsoe: "Tyson is the main guy and whatever he has to say, I'll listen"
Its easy to win media day, but so far I like what I'm hearing.

btw - Jimmer Fredette is playing on the Spurs in a partially guaranteed training camp contract.
Im not always right, but I love bringing up that one since I was basically DESTROYED by half the peeps here for saying he'd be lucky to be in the league in five years. Wish I could bring that thread up but it was on old site

You and Ladmo were on opposite ends of the spectrum there. He's not out of the league yet though.

Wow, what a turnaround! What changed?
Reality set in. That fine by the league office might have been a wake-up call too. While he initially reacted negatively, it was an opportunity for the more level heads around him to say that when you are going up against your team AND the league office, you are going to lose every time.
More than likely, all parties sat down (maybe even prompted by the league) and decided to play nice. Not so much the Suns playing nice, but maybe saying they'll try to accommodate Markieff if he still wants out by midseason, so long as Markieff behaves and helps the team (and himself in the process). His agent probably told him to keep his mouth shut as well (if his agent has any sense).

It would certainly be in his best interest if he wants to be traded for him to not cause problems - the Suns will probably get better offers and be more likely to agree to one of them. That'd be a win for everybody involved.
