Speaking of Russ, he threw up some of the worst shots I've ever seen in the 4th quarter tonight. It was embarrassing. He can't win it by himself.

If he's happy averaging a triple double, winning MVP, and getting bounced in the first round, then I'm going to look down my nose at him and consider myself superior.

Watching Westbrook and OKC get rekt in the first round by Houston is pretty delightful, I must admit.

Yeah, I am finding it difficult to be upset at them losing.

Westbrook would do well to remember that Oscar Robertson, a triple-double machine back in the day, was a lousy teammate whose Royals teams rarely got deep in the playoffs.

It's still a team game.

Another interesting one: since Jordan, Shaq is the only player to lead the league in scoring and win a title. That was in 99-00, so it has bee the whole century of basketball since we had a player dominant enough to score that kind of volume and win. The MVP winning the title is slightly more common, but still not the norm.

Steph Curry came within one win of doing it last year.

The Grizzdales stole one against the Spurs tonight. That $30K fine was worth every penny even if the Spurs still shot more free throws.

I wasn't a big fan of Fizdale when he was in Miami with Spoelstra but I think that was due more to the dislike of the Super Team that Lebron, Wade and Bosh put together. Fizdale always seemed connected to the players in Miami and with what happened in Memphis tonight I think he has great fan support. He did not mix any words on his comments on the officiating after last game. I also think Spoilstra may be the most underrated coach in the league.
I wanted Monty as our coach since D'Antoni left town. Nice choice James Jones.

Grizz are a tough veteran team with a lot of pride. They won't give up easily. I still see this as a 5 or 6-game series due to the Grizz lack of outside shooting and inability to defend Kawhi, but each game is a battle.

Poor Jazz. They were up the whole game and then lost in the last couple minutes.

Oh, wow. Blake Griffin will be out for the rest of the playoffs with a toe injury:

That is huge. I wonder if the Jazz now have an edge in the series?

I wouldn't say so since he went out in the first half and they still lost at home. Now if Gobert comes back, that's a different story.

I've discovered the wonders of r/nbastreams. The best part is watching streams without commercials, the feed mostly just shows what's going on in the arena during timeouts and halftime.

The Canine Crew Disc Dog Team at the halftime of this SA and Memphis game was more entertaining than most of this game so far.

The Blazers are going to play Nurkic tonight, while Kerr and Durant are both out for the Warriors. I think the Blazers are showing their usual stupidity of their medical staff. If playing Nurkic so soon after his injury causes it to aggravate, they'll have another potential Brandon Roy situation.
