Hmmm...what about instead of worrying about KD, we trade for Gordon and Poetl...shift Ayton to PF...leaves a few options on trade, maybe Cam, Saric a 2 1s? I think a startling lineup of Chris, Booker, Ayton, Poetl, Mikal...and then you have Gordon as a backup PG and the rest...thoughts?

I really don't want to play DA out of position. He doesn't have the outside shot or speed to be a 4 IMO. And he's so good (and efficient) on the interior.

ha ha...the difference is, my supposition is valid...
- We might not get KD.
- The potential of DA wanting to play PF given that we just made a 4 year commitment to him may end up having to be at least considered...he has commented on this in the past, that's not news, regardless if you don't like the idea or not.
- The reality of our needing to improve is still there if that were how things played out...which means we still (as now) have a need to upgrade backup PG, and we'd likely want to upgrade at the Center position.

Talk your sheit, but if we don't get KD, than the Magic 8 ball is getting shook and we'll need to figure out some strategy to maximize potential. Its not like like we pretty much collapsed in the 2nd round, so let's just ignore that and think everything is going to be okee dokee by ignoring our issues.

I wanted to explore the scenario...all you and Mori wanted to do I guess is rehash KD scenario #300. I thought discussion was the point here, but I guess being snarky is the only option these days. No sweat, I'm going into quiet mode until something of substance happens. Exploring ideas isn't too popular I guess. We lost to Dallas...we need to change something...if you can't get KD and could get a decent upgrade at Center, my thought was perhaps that MIGHT be something to change chemistry (especially w/a PG upgrade,) changing the equation. No worries...bored of the snark...let's just see what happens...
