You've seen enough of him to like more than Bledose, Dragic, and Thomas?

There were completely benign quotes from him earlier in the year that some tried to kill him for, but these are nearly beyond reproach. They were trying to bait him and he responded with the utmost professionalism. Props to him.

To be fair, we do have some guys capable of being All-Stars, most notably Bledsoe. But he isn't going to get All-Star numbers when he plays with 2 other PGs.
Come on. Thomas and Dragic have both missed times. There's been plenty of moments for Bledsoe to step up, and more times than not, he hasn't.

I agree that he has not played like an All-star regardless of his teammates or minutes.

Welcome back buddy, you were missed.

And for $70M, you'd think you'd get some consistency.

Phoenix Suns Get: Caron Butler, Greg Monroe
Detroit Pistons Get: Shavlik Randolph, Isaiah Thomas, 2015 first-round pick

I'm all for a Thomoas for Monroe swap, but I believe just IT3 could be considered too much value for the Pistons given Monroe is gone and especially when the move wouldn't open enough cap space to resign Monroe without additional juggling. The 1stR is just a NO. Same with taking Butler.

Phoenix Suns Get: Trevor Booker, Alec Burks, Enes Kanter
Utah Jazz Get: Eric Bledsoe

I don't want to pay Kanter his $10M, and Burks already makes 10M+ starting next season, wich by the way renders this trade impossible because he is a poison pill contract.

Booker is decent, thought. I wouldn't be opposed to send out Tolliver and a second for him.

If only Dumars were running the Pistons, we might be able to make that deal. SVG is there and he'll be coaching the guys he's trading for. I don't know if Thomas fits with his style or even next to Jennings. But then again, with Smith and Drummond up front, they'd need all the perimeter firepower they can get.

I'm not interested in dealing for Monroe.

That Houston trade is exactly what some of us have been talking about - and I would do it. I think it'll be hard to keep Dragic beyond this season if a contender offers him the role of lead PG. Lotto picks are hard to come by except by losing.

I don't want them to trade Goran unless they have no intention of re-signing him in the first place. And of course I want them to re-sign him.

Trading Goran to make room for IT would be asinine.

Both of those adjectives are too mild!

Can we give Houston Bledsoe instead?

I would consider it seriously but a Bledsoe-Harden backcourt could make the Rockets an insane power in the west if they learn to share the ball, just like the Suns did last season.

I am more interested in exhausting the options to make it work again for the Suns.

You know what. I like him too. I am sure that under different circumstances IT3 is a really good player to have, but so far it seems something is not working. Expectations were being just better than last season, and that's not the case at all.

I was encouraged by the fact that we got our turnovers under control against Charlotte. I think both Goran and IT do a better job with the ball than Bled, who tends to force things.

I guess what I'm saying is, I wouldn't mind if IT stayed rather than Dragic. After all, he is under contract, and at something around half the price we can expect to pay for Goran - if we can convince him to stay, which I think is doubtful the way the season's playing out.

I understand what you are saying, but if we don't keep Goran, I don't think a lineup that includes two of the four of Bled, IT, Ennis, and Green for 48 minutes is going to work. One key reason we were successful last year with the 2 PGs together, is that Goran can really play the 2 as well. Bledsoe, Ennis, and IT are not capable of that (Eric is closest, but only in a pinch).

If we go that route (moving Goran), we need to get back legit 2.
