Lol, games like this *almost* make me wish that we could be bad enough some years to get a better pick in the lotto. Blah.

You're forgetting the rule that says the Suns must get the 13th or 14th pick every year. It's in the NBA bylaws.

Too soon to say malaise?

To be fair, I'm still cautiously optimistic about the future of the team. Archie and Warren look like solid rotation players at the very worst -- and we are talking about a young, young team. Thrilling victories against top teams and let downs against the Kings of the world are to be expected when you have such a young team. And I wonder if Danny Granger will start playing the role that Tucker should play in the locker room, that of the wise vet and steadying influence.

Unless Westbrook gets hurt, though, I don't think that the Suns are making it this year. And that's a shame...a first round shellacking would help the young'ins develop faster.

So we miss the playoffs for the FIFTH straight season.

Honestly, I'd much rather see an OkC/GSW first round match up. Especially if theyre able to get back Durant.

Suns would be lucky to win a single game.

Despite the records, I think this current version of the Kings, with Carl coaching, is better than we are. I know it is a let down because we had a chance to pull within 1 game if we won AND beat OKC tomorrow, but the better team won last night.

DMC is a monster. Kings would've been a ton better had they not fired Malone and submarined their entire season. Unfortunate for them. They still need to upgrade at PG.

Man, I leave the game day thread to you guys and this is what happens?! Tsk tsk. ;)

Glad I didn't bet on this game. Suns were favored by 8. Luckily I picked Rockets over the Pelicans. Rockets were favored by 1 and won by 2. Phew!

Yeah, I actually agree with you. We don't have anybody even close to DMC's talent level. And Karl is a good coach. If the Pelicans had a real coach instead of Monty Williams, who may be the worst remaining coach in the NBA, they'd probably be better than us, too.

Agreed. It is critical to have a dominant player, and we don't. Both of those teams have a top 10 player in the league right now. I doubt we have a top 25.
