What's a five point play in Fiba?
On a foul off the ball on a three point shot, the player fouled gets two free throws instead of just one additional like in the NBA. So that's three points if the shot goes in, plus two if the player fouled off the ball makes his free throws.
Interesting. Thanks.

I don't like the fiba rule. I think it's crazy that you can get 5 points on one possession. Serbia cut it's deficit from 10 to 5 on one basketball play.

Don't see why it isn't fair. Two different actions that in essence happen simoultaneously. Could be even be six points if the shooter is fouled as well.

That's not true, is it? You can't have two fouls on the same play. At least not in the NBA.

I think its impossible to have two Fouls simultaneously. So 5 points is the max. I didn't say it's unfair, I just don't like it. One play erases minutes of hard work, nah. In more important news. Gasol the MVP carries Spain to the europian championship almost by himself. 25 points with a minute to go and Spain up 15.

Ok. Now we need a fiba ref to sort this out. I'm officially out at this point.

So, in Europe you get 5 points per play? Pau got 40; does that mean he scored 8 times? ;-)

Nope. He can't be shooting and then get fouled off the ball. If instead of pau you would have written Gasol, that would be possible if Marc would play too. ;)
