Look at Barkley trashing and making fun of the Phoenix Suns

Seems like Shaq has a little more respect for his former employers. Kenny Smith is an imbecile, though.

Fuck them all anyway.

I don't know if it's been posted anywhere, but Booker will be in the 3-point shootout at All-Star Weekend. Thought that was pretty cool.

I enjoyed Barkley's rant. We should be able to laugh at ourselves when times are tough. He was just having some fun. He was saying our arena has flat beer and cold nachos with pickles on them. Obviously he was just goofing around. He also went out of his way to praise the Phoenix fans.

Watson has set a new locker room rule for players to not make fun of one another. “We’re not putting each other down in a joking matter, even if it’s all playful and fun,” Watson said. “It’s only uplifiting words so we’re uplifting each other to another level. For us to move forward, it has nothing to do with basketball. We have to change the mindset. Once we change the mindset — the mind always goes before the physical – everything else will follow.”

It may just be a sign of how the locker room might be divided. Maybe the insults aren't in a joking manner but they are phrasing this rule that way to not give away too much.

Some of our players can't be happy with the way Morris has basically not given a shit the whole season. Only for him now to be basically crowned the leader of the team by the new head coach.

I don't think that's such a bad thing. Obviously the way they were treating each other before wasn't working.
Synchronicity and all that jazz, man.

If it's bullying or threatening, understandable. But ribbing and cracking jokes? That's acceptable and can help bring guys together.

This is much more of the major issue and should be front and center with the media and fans.

Do we have any thoughts on Earl Watson as coach yet? Seeing any encouraging or concerning signs?

I was not encouraged by the team's final 2 possessions last night. Both turnovers. I did like how they fought until the end though. Recently the team had been giving up in the 4th once down double digits.

Oh, I also liked this quote:
* Watson on adding his former Seattle SuperSonics coach (2005-07), Bob Hill, to his Suns staff: “Why I like Coach Hill is because he’s creative, he’s innovative and we never agree on everything. I don’t want to be surrounded by people that think my ideas are the greatest in the world. I want to be challenged. I want to be pushed.”
Go Suns!

In four years, you don’t have to vote again. We’ll have it fixed so good, you’re not gonna have to vote.

I'm not the biggest Chuck fan in the world, but he's just telling it like it is.

I want Noguiera and Norman Powell.

Noguiera is intriguing, don't know anything about Powell.

Listening to Burns & Gambo cover the Barkley thing in Hour1 of today's show. He said exactly what I said, he wished he could find someone to take a prop bet on Markieff sucking hard last night. Easy money.

Does anyone else feel that watsons comments are scripted at the post game interviews? I almost find myself giggling when he ends his speech and then just reads all the stats off the box score for a player they asked him about. I keep expecting him say there players middle name, age and weight also. Some guy asked him about the rockets 3pt shooting - he then listed almost their entire roster for some reason. I guess that's what they mean by a basketball mind
