He said something to Corbin as he was taken out of the game at one point, but it didn't seem heated. Maybe it happened in the locker room.

Say what? I specifically recall Kerr saying he was forced to do that trade. Strange that you are remembering the opposite.
Yeah, I remember his hand was forced. He didn't want to give up assets or KT.

He's a bad defender, he's not that great a pick setter, and he takes up space around the basket that is needed by other guys. The team wasn't better with him on the court. He is our 2nd worst player this season in terms of +/- per 100 possessions.

I'm very interested to see what Stevens does with him in Boston.
yes, let's see what a real team gets out of him in the playoffs

i don't need no stinking +/- number to override what i've seen with my own eyes -- and that was a professional NBA center surrounded by amateurs. True centers excel with a true point guard to work with and Booker would benefit from the threat down low.

+/- is highly dependent on who's on the floor with you, and if you aren't a starter it's not very flattering
I don;t need advanced metrics to tell me he's horrible defensively. He can score and is a decent rebounder, but he's not any help at all defensively either on or off the ball.
Lol. Is he your cousin or something 1tin? You must've been watching a different player.

He's got a great touch around the rim. That's about it. He may be the worst defender I've ever seen in the pick and roll. Made Amare look elite.
yes, my full name is 1 Tinsoldier Monroe
and you'll be seeing a different player when cuz is contributing nicely in the Celtics playoff run

i never mentioned his defense, and if i did, i would throw stones at another dozen suns at the same time
in fact, the worst defense i've ever seen was some games by the suns without Monroe this year

the bottom line:
if Len also moves on as expected,
and next year it's still the 36 yr old defensive dynamo called Tyson Chandler in the middle
the Monroe dump will be just another unforced error
and next season we'll surely be without either a real pg or center again

yes, one good starter. either a pg or center. surely not both NBA ready
Len or Monroe are legitimate
and we could have concentrated on a pg

I could see us drafting a more NBA ready upper classmen with the Miami or Milwaukee pick. Currently Milwaukee is 18 (which is one pick outside our window) and Miami is 20.

At 20 we could have someone like Grayson Allen, Chimezie Metu, or Khyri Thomas.
Go Suns!

Can you imagine Chriss if we still had the twins in the locker room? I just feel like they would have been best buds.

Tip for the front office. Maybe you should wait until a rookie actually proves he has it before boosting his ego. Don't just give them the starting position and push them as leaders of the team before they are mature enough to handle it.

Fortunately, those are the best prospects at the top of the draft. The exception, though, is Luka Doncic, unless you want to call him a point guard. And out of those centers and point guards, you choose the best player.

I don't think they have done that with Chriss.

You might have missed some of those nauseating interviews around summer league where they kept asking him about being a leader for the team and such. The summer league isn't the same as the regular team but it wouldn't surprise me if he thought he was one of the leaders of the team after how much Watson went on about it.

You're probably right. There has been a lot of none sense that has gone on around the summer leagues the last two offseasons. I probably blocked it out for the sake of my own sanity.

You've got no qualms from me. Yeah, I was kind of ribbing you about McD but I'm sure that fact entered into making him comfortable enough to say that.

Speaking of Doncic, where is he on your draft board? Is JJJ really #1?

I've just recently started studying Doncic, and he's blown me away. Given the #1 pick, I don't think I could pass on Doncic, even though JJJ addresses more needs IMO. I'd be ecstatic with either of them.
