Game Day: Suns (29-28) @ Nuggets (20-36), Wed 2/25/15

We've handed Bledsoe the keys and he's driving like PJ Tucker on a summer night in Scottsdale.

I'm not so sure it was emphasized any more than normal. The Nuggets missed over 50 shots.Mori Chu wrote:The rebounding numbers from this game are really zany. So many guys had 6,7,8 rebounds or more. I guess they really made it a point of emphasis. I like it. It was also good to see Warren play so well and to see both of our starting guards get good numbers (other than Bledsoe's turnovers). Any idea why we didn't see Goodwin more?

I always like strong rebounding guards and Knight and Bledsoe always seem to be in the mix getting boards. I still feel like we're walking/jogging the ball up too much instead of sprinting and putting the pressure on the defense. With Bledsoe and Knight, no reason why we shouldn't have one of the fastest backcourts in the league. Hate seeing us skipping up court with the ball.
Someone else mentioned and I said it last week...Bledsoe is more herky jerky, stutter stepping guard off the bounce whereas Knight is a smoother guard. Hope they play off each other well and can keep defenses off balance with that dynamic.
I like that TJ got minutes last night. I honestly want to see the Morris Bros gone this offseason. It'd be addition by subtraction, especially if we can nab that FA PF like a Monroe and then let TJ take the minutes. PJ can go too but I'm 50/50 on him. He should be coming off the bench if anything.

We are not going to be as fast paced offense with Bledsoe. Goran pushed the ball more. Knight might, but he is playing the off-guard most of the time.

I think Archie and TJ have earned rotation minutes.

I honestly think anyone hoping to see Bledsoe or the Morris Twins gone anytime soon are going to be sorely disappointed. I think McDonough has hitched his wagon to them. The only position not nailed down imho is SF and look for that to be addressed in the off-season.
Go Suns!

Doesn't have to be SSOL, just pushing to pace/tempo.

Not sure about this. Those contracts are highly movable, I think. But the real difficulties are (1) finding a good deal, and (2) finding a PF. I also think McD's a very patient negotiator, and would have no problem holding onto the twins longer than he'd like under ideal circumstances.carey wrote:I honestly think anyone hoping to see Bledsoe or the Morris Twins gone anytime soon are going to be sorely disappointed. It was fun to see Warren have one of his best games. He looks like he's gaining in confidence.iLLmatic wrote:Oh snap, Goodwin and Warren sighting.

What was up with his crazy behind the back moves last night?!carey wrote:Honestly that fast break by PJ surprised the shit out of me cause he didn't turn it over and he passed at the end of it. Neither of those 2 things are common when he leads the break.

Our PG of the future!Mori Chu wrote:I hate seeing Bledsoe just drop the ball every freaking game. He's dribbling up the floor, and he just mis-dribbles and loses the ball. It's a totally unforced error. The slightest perturbation causes him to cough it up. It's aggravating.

I was surprised that Markieff didn't react. But then I saw him jawing with him right after on the other end. I'm sure he told him if he does it again, he's going to mess him up.TheOriginalOriginal wrote:Nurkic setting the ball on Kieff after flopping has been the highlight of the night for me.

Uh Kieff, you don't want any part of Nurkic, even if Marcus helped out.Superbone wrote:I was surprised that Markieff didn't react. But then I saw him jawing with him right after on the other end.
