That's exactly what Matt Barnes was getting at.

I wonder if the League's disciplinary action is dictated by the playoffs. Like, would JRs suspension have been longer in the regular season but because it's the playoffs, they cut it down figuring the impact would be just as great? Like would he have gotten 5 games in a (more or less) meaningless regular season as opposed to 5 games in the playoffs which could legitimately change the series? Are the 2 games he's missing deemed as impactful as 5 regular season games?
I'm sure that was part of the decision. I'm just really shocked at Olynyk's punishment. Talk about a slap on the wrist.
It's because you guys think it was intentional. Most don't.
Intent to injure to a point that he knew Love would be done for the season, probably not. But he clearly intended to grab his arm and repeatedly jerk it towards the ground.

Yup. It doesn't really matter if he "intended" to injure Love. He acted in a way that was reckless and likely to injure Love, and I absolutely won't chalk it up to bad body control or clumsiness. He wrapped his arms around Love's and pulled hard multiple times. Intent to injure, who knows. But willful act that is likely to injure? Yes. And that's why it's BS and he should get a huge suspension. Kevin Love is out for the whole playoffs now. It's a huge impact on the title chances for the Cavs. I don't want the NBA championship decided by some scrub on the Celtics playing tug-of-war and snapping guys' shoulders. That is not okay to me.

None of the TNT guys thought it was.

Grab? Yes. Pulled hard multiple times? I didn't see that.

He pulled first with his right arm, then reached across to grab his wrist with his left and pulled again.

I think the whole, throwing his hands in the air and acting like he didn't do anything proves that he didn't do anything and it certainly wasn't intentional. They should have given Love a 3 game suspension for instigating it and throwing his shoulder into Olynyk's direction.

OK, you guys are right and the NBA is wrong. I'm sure you spent more time analyzing it than they did.

The Clippers-Spurs game 5 is one helluva contest. Both teams playing like the winner of this game goes through, which is probably just about right.

I'd say yes, but who knows. Both teams are good though S.A. is obviously deeper and better coached. Sometimes that can't overcome young talented guys that really want to win though.

Clippers doing the Hack-a-Shaq (Deandre) thing a lot. Chris Paul and Doc Rivers look about ready to belt someone, and the Clippers are getting taken out of their rhythm big time.
