Haha, I’m just messing, I think we can safely bury the LeBron to Phoenix stuff. If we’re making an all-in move, we have to do it this year. LeBron also only ever made sense if he wanted out of LA and had all the leverage with his expiring deal. Now that he’s locked up, he’d cost more in trade chips anyways. I only wanted him if he was just costing us Ayton, filler, and a pick or 2. Or CamJ and and filler. Mikal was off the table for me completely in an LBJ trade.

He can’t be traded this year…same with a guy like Devin Booker. They signed extensions and are not tradeable until next off-season.

This is what the ESPN article said:

James is ineligible to be traded during the upcoming 2022-23 season because the second year of his extension exceeds a 5% raise.
