Haha, I’m just messing, I think we can safely bury the LeBron to Phoenix stuff. If we’re making an all-in move, we have to do it this year. LeBron also only ever made sense if he wanted out of LA and had all the leverage with his expiring deal. Now that he’s locked up, he’d cost more in trade chips anyways. I only wanted him if he was just costing us Ayton, filler, and a pick or 2. Or CamJ and and filler. Mikal was off the table for me completely in an LBJ trade.

He could easily demand out by the trade deadline, and would only have less than 1.5 seasons left on his contract. Filler and picks should get it done. Maybe throw in Cam. It’s far from over, if LeBron still cares about winning.

I'm pretty sure that doesn't apply to LeBron's extension, but I may be wrong.

EDIT: It's 6 months. So it depends on what date the NBA sets for the trade deadline.

James is ineligible to be traded during the upcoming 2022-23 season because the second year of his extension exceeds a 5% raise.
