Department Q on Netflix is an entertaining crime drama that takes place in Scotland. 9 episodes and I just finished e8 last night. Recommended.
I watched the first episode at 3am on my phone while I had the flu. All the way up to the end of e1, I thought the prosecutor and the police chief were the same person. I was extremely confused. Turns out pale, gaunt, dark haired, Scottish women all look the same to me.
Ha! The police chief is quite a bit older.
Yeah, they really don't look or act that much alike.
I could understand the confusion as they do have a lot of flashbacks to Merritt as a teenager.

If you want to watch a show that's pretty bonkers.... Watch this:
The second season finale was incredible, especially given the airplane disasters recently.

Yeah, my son said I should watch. Started season 1 but wasn't interested in continuing part way into e2. However, my son told me to just start with S2 and I enjoyed that from start to finish. Really interesting concept while being funny and engaging.
He never was able to get any of his ideas or concepts to the FAA. I'm not sure if his idea is the answer but it could definitely help. Weird that these pilots and co-pilots only meet in the cockpit. The way Nathan played off whether he is autistic or not was funny. In fact, that was the cliffhanger. One of the funniest things is when he says he doesn't have to rehearse and then he fails miserably with the congressman that has some pull with aviation. Also wild that he actually learned to and then flew a Boeing 737 with passengers. But they were paid actors which was funny in itself. That they were willing to put their lives on the line with a 2 year pilot flying a passenger plane for the first time.

Yea... I was blown away with his "long game" he played in getting his pilots license and learning to fly an actual Boeing airplane. The autistic part had me in tears... because part of it seems like an act, but it also doesn't which is the beauty of it. LOL
If you haven't watched his previous show "Nathan For You"... It's pretty good too and had me chuckling. Also, I think that show kind of answers the question of the season 2 "cliffhanger".
Anyone watching S4 of The Bear? I'm trying to space them out but I've seen the first two episodes and it seems back on track after a less than great S3. Hope it keeps up.

Good to hear. I finally got back on track with S3. I'm almost half way into it now and then will move straight on to S4. Of course, also started S3 of Squid Game last night.

Checked out Resident Alien this weekend, and liked it a lot. It's a 'bad' sci-fi in the best way. Great one liners, hilariously unbelievable situations, etc.

That's funny. My brother just told me to watch this.

I heard The Bear S4 was bad so I have delayed watching it. I will get to it soonish, especially if you folks think it is back on the right track. S3 was a tough watch imo; I feel like the show's great energy has faded a bit now and that they were basically manufacturing drama for S3.

5 episodes into an Amazon original. Extremely quirky, entertaining, suspenseful sci-fi western. Outer Range. I hope it continues to be as good as it is thus far. There are currently 2 seasons available.

My impression is that S3 was filler and S4 will be the final season. I enjoyed S4 E1 last night.

S4 of the Bear is really good. There's one episode in the middle that's kind of meh which revolves around Syd but it's at least relevant to the story. I'm up to Episode 8, just trying to stretch it out a bit. Episode 7 was great, it's over an hour long and worth it.
Overall it's way better than S3 which I barely remember.

Foundation season 3 has been incredible. Lee Pace is incredible as Day this season. I love the focus on The Empire storyline. Production has been top notch. S3, E4 was some of the best TV I've watched in awhile. Bravo.

Dang it! I usually wait till they’re all out to watch since they have some really good dupes at the end of episodes.

Haven't posted in here for a while; thought I would give a quick update about shows the wife and I are watching.
We just got caught up on a show called From. It is a horror / mystery show about a group of people who are stuck in a small town where creepy zombie-like monsters come out every night and try to kill them. It started out as just horror but kind of evolves into a mystery box show (Where are they? What are the monsters? Why can't they get out? etc. etc.) There are 3 seasons of it and a 4th on the way. We enjoyed it; not an A+ show but interesting and well acted. Sadly it is only on MGM+, a streaming service literally nobody has. We did a trial 1-month subscription, binged From, and then canceled it.
Now we are starting Pluribus, a new show on Apple TV. It is made by Vince Gilligan, best known for being the creator of Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul. It stars Rhea Seehorn, aka Kim Wexler from Better Call Saul. It is about an alien virus that affects almost everyone on Earth (except Seehorn's character, of course). Two episodes have dropped so far. It's well-made, interesting, funny; and Seehorn shines in her role. I like it a lot so far. Maybe she'll finally get Emmy consideration after being repeatedly snubbed for her work on BCS.

Yep, watched the first two Pluribus (Pluribii?) and really enjoying it. It's got that Gilligan Albuquerque flavor as well as his old X-Files writing experience.

Pluribus is top on my list of binging once it's all out.
Anyone check out "The Lowdown" on FX with Ethan Hawke and Peter Dinklage? Curious if it's worth a shot...
Been watching two Jason Clarke shows... The Murdaugh Family murder one and the The Last Frontier on AppleTV. Both are dang good and vastly different. I watched most of the Murdaugh trial and Clarke should be nominated for an Emmy, hands down. His portrayal of Alex is fantastic.

I started Lowdown and liked it. I will get back to it. I'm not very familiar with Jason Clarke but had plans to watch Last Frontier at some point. It's on my list.

I'm trying to find another drama show while we wait for Pluribus each week. We've watched two episodes of The Leftovers. It has been just okay. Any of you watched it? Does it get any better? (No spoilers!)
