Around the League: Week 25 4/11 - 4/17
Re: Around the League: Week 25 4/11 - 4/17
Watching Bender's Weaknesses video on DX feels like watching Alex Len. But I haven't give up on Len, and I'm happy to take a chance on Bender.

This is why I'm hesitant to take him. Two stick figures that can't (in Alex's case, won't for fear of injury) jump on the same front line has me a bit worried.Cap wrote:Watching Bender's Weaknesses video on DX feels like watching Alex Len. I was really pleased with Warren's three point shooting improvement this year.Indy wrote:I don't see Warren being great in the half-court, without a solid PG. I see him being a perfect mix of Ced and Barbosa on offense (getting easy buckets by moving without the ball, and knocking down the corner 3 when open).
Synchronicity and all that jazz, man.

Me too. Just think how good he could be if we had people that could get him the ball in his shooting pocket. I think he could end up being a low 40s guy with the right offense.Superbone wrote:I was really pleased with Warren's three point shooting improvement this year.Indy wrote:I don't see Warren being great in the half-court, without a solid PG. I really wish we had Ricky Rubio as our PG.

I'm with you there. I'd much rather have an expert distributor at point rather than whatever Bledsoe and Knight are.Mori Chu wrote:I really wish we had Ricky Rubio as our PG.

Like 42 points a night on average?Indy wrote:Me too. Just think how good he could be if we had people that could get him the ball in his shooting pocket. We'll see if he can mantain it, but I am not surprised at all. This guy is thirsty scorer. As for his half court prowess, I am not worried. With guys like him you can always just give him the ball and he'll get to work with his array of moves. What you won't get without a real PG are those easy baskets that really add up. He needs to contribute elsewhere though.Superbone wrote:I was really pleased with Warren's three point shooting improvement this year.Indy wrote:I don't see Warren being great in the half-court, without a solid PG. I love Warren. His injury this year came at the worst possible time. I hope next season he can get back on track and keep improving. Hope he will be part of our long-term future.

Thibs at 8mil is a steal compared to Brooks at 7mil. Yikes.

He is assuming he will be BPA at 4... At least, that is my guess.INFORMER wrote:Bender?! Why?Cap wrote:I'll go with Bledsoe-Booker-Warren-Bender-Len. [ Image ]

I'd take bender just because there is no one else that really excites me and with bender I just don't know really anything. In reality, I'd probably look to trade the pick if it's not top two.

Were you guys aware that NBA players are allowed to hit Jeremy Lin with impunity?

I saw the video & my initial thought was you could make a video like this for every player in the league that isn't a superstar. Really, to me, it just points out how awful NBA officiating continues to be.

Some players have a true knack for not getting calls. Melo needs to be murdered before the wistle.
Re: Around the League: Week 25 4/11 - 4/17
I think Dragic got his tooth knocked out twice this season without getting a call.

Likely to be BPA when we pick, and happens to play a position where we currently have nobody else.Indy wrote:He is assuming he will be BPA at 4... At least, that is my guess.INFORMER wrote:Bender?! Why?Cap wrote:I'll go with Bledsoe-Booker-Warren-Bender-Len. [ Image ]
It wasn't so much an "I really like Dragan Bender" post as a "Play the younglings" post.
