Love that!
He didn't have 46 his rookie year, did he?
ETA: I looked it up and it was in his 3rd year. I was surprised to see he had his 70 point game in year 2 though.

Mamba Mentality. PJ Tucker said the same thing.
Good interview and the Suns stuff starts at around the 32 minute mark. Good things about Monty's attention to detail and Xs and Os (ahem), CP, the Bubble Experience, some plays in the Finals and the Angry game against the Knicks.

I notice over at FanDuel that KD is 13-1 for MVP, and Book is 23-1.
Whose team is it? If we dominate the regular season, which would you expect to win MVP?

Hard to know…Book was definitely better when they played together last year, but KD was trying to fit in on the fly…KD looked like an early mvp candidate before he got hurt for Brooklyn last year.
I don’t think either will get it…mvp is too focused on stat stuffing and they’ll steal stats from each other. KD and Curry weren’t mvp candidates or even 1st team all-nba when playing together(each got 1 1st team over 3 years).
It’s gonna go to Luka or Jokic…someone who does everything for their team offensively.

I'll gladly take two 1st team all-NBAers over the MVP.

Damion Lee with a knee injury.

Good thing for depth! That's at least 6 weeks minimum.

That really sucks. Not sure he would've been part of the early rotation but he gave us some good games last year. Hopefully he's back soon.

Yep but better now than during the season. From experience, those meniscus tears are just waiting to happen and just a matter of time if it's going to happen. Doesn't take anything special to occur either.

Immediately prior to Durant's injury last year, the Nets were on an 18-2 streak and just a game back of Boston for the best record in the NBA. Durant was at 29.7/6.7/5.3 on insane efficiency (67.3% TS). It's entirely possible that if he doesn't get hurt, things don't fall completely apart with Kyrie, the subsequent trades don't happen, and they're a threat for top seed in the East. He's definitely an MVP candidate last year in that alternate universe.
And while KD was generally good in his limited regular season action with the Suns, and pretty good throughout the playoffs, it never seemed to me like he was completely comfortable, or that the team was completely comfortable with him. Some of that was probably down to him rounding back into form after missing almost all of half a season, and some of it was just a severe lack of time to integrate with the team before they were playing games that mattered. I'm very hopeful that he'll be healthy through a full training camp and most of the season this year, and that we'll see the best of what he can bring.

Lee has some relationship equity in the locker room so I never really considered him a candidate to be cut, but now..?

That's tough... Hate injuries already happening and preseason hasn't even started.

He has a Player option next year, so we’d be paying him 2 years…He should elect to repair the meniscus…miss 6 months(entire season) and maybe we can get an injury exemption…does that give us a roster spot or just salary? The roster spot is what we need.
