I'm worried about Kevin Love. He's supposedly not injured but he's running like an old man out there. He put up 17 and 13 but he doesn't look like his normal self at all. He's only 27.

If Kevin Love went off and had an amazing series, shooting lights-out from 3, I think the Cavs would have a good chance. But I doubt it, given the way he's been used in Cleveland and the way he's playing right now.

I was watching the Cavs defense in the first half last night. It was terrible. So many wide open lanes to the basket for G-State and blown pick-n-roll switches. CLE was a bit better in the second half but they really didn't look ready at all in the first half.

Will probably watch no games in this series. 2 least favorite teams in the league.

Weird, that is the Clippers in the West and Cavs/Knicks are a toss up in the East for me.

They are just my current least favorites.. Mostly due to the players on their teams. Curry and Draymond are too cocky and smug for me, Bogut is a scumbag, Iggy gets away with hacking on every possession. Then the Cavs have Lazy Love, the worlds biggest diva in LeBron and Kyrie who can be just as bad as the other 2. Just a finals that i had no interest in watching. The NBA got its 2 most protected players in the finals again. Zzz.

I'll be honest. I was watching LSU baseball most of the night. There was a rain delay and I saw some of the 30 point blowout. I don't think Cleveland can win 4 of 5 from the Dubs, but I suppose stranger things have happened. I didn't think the Dubs could beat the Thunder 3 in a row either. Shows how much I know.

Golden State and Cleveland look like they're in two completely different leagues. The Warriors are playing so much better it's not even funny. You get the feeling that Lebron is going to stab one of his teammates at some point.

If they get swept, any chance Lebron leaves? I mean, I don't think so, but he sure seems discontented. Maybe he stays but demands that one of Kyrie/Love be traded?

The crazy thing is that the Cavs would probably be better with Wiggins after all.

I thought Game 2 would be telling in this one. Thought the Warriors might hit the wall after the OKC series and Game 1 being played on adrenaline but nope. Looks like the Cavs just weren't challenged in the EC playoffs and the Ws (and WC) play at a different level. I think OKC would be doing the same thing to the Cavs actually. Cavs just aren't matching the speed or intensity of the Ws but also just aren't as good a team in terms of playing together or being as versatile. The Ws are as close to playing positionless basketball as anyone ever has. When you have Klay, Livingston, Iggy, Draymond, Barnes and don't even need Curry or Bogut out there...that says something.

I think the Cavs will make changes only to appease LeBron but won't be able to really move the needle until they determine an actual identity. Their identity is LeBron, and that's not enough. Are they a halfcourt execution team? A speed and 3pt shooting team? A defensive lockdown team? Or just better than everyone else in the east and getting by on that?

The Ws are as close to playing positionless basketball as anyone ever has.

It really is amazing how much passing they have up & down their roster. And how much off-ball movement there is in their offense.

This is something Jeff Van Gundy mentioned on Zach Lowe's podcast. He said he thinks they should stick with Blatt this season because they don't have a chance at winning a championship so they could fire him in the off-season as a scapegoat. Now if they lose someone else will also have to fall for it.
I don't agree with JVG here though (and I'm also surprised Lowe didn't argue), because Cavs were still basically a lock to make the finals and then who knows what happens.

I think Love becomes the scapegoat. They'll say he's too soft, too injury prone and isn't worth the money he's making to just be a 3pt shooter in the corner. They have that in Frye. So Love will be made available.

I think, if we wanted to go this route, we could swing a Chandler for Love trade. Chandler gives them the tough, veteran, defensive presence they lack and lets Thompson play his natural PF spot. We can give Len all the minutes at center he can handle and Love is the perfect complement because he can stretch the floor or play inside with Len stepping out.

I don't think they'd want Chandler. They have enough big men that they already can't find minutes for.

Barbosa and Livingston with another great game. Between them, they are really making a difference. They are even both playing very good D. But last night belonged to D Green. Like him or hate him, he was the spark that got the Ws going.

Early in the game, it looked like the W's had hit that wall ShelC mentioned. The W's first 4 or five shots were 3pt attempts that honestly weren't even basketball plays. Not a single drive or cut or screen. No movement off the ball. No rhythm or energy or lift on the shot. No engaging the defense and trying to shake them. Just the first guy with the ball throwing it at the rim.

Then Draymond got the ball and actually drove. He started making plays inside the ft line, and single highhandedly kept the Ws in it until about half way through the second quarter when it was 31-30 Ws and the rest of the team woke up. I honestly think Green scored or assisted on every one of those first 31 points.
