I would pass though. Wouldn't even take him for free.
So if you were a gm you wouldn't even take him for free and ship him off for a 2nd rounder?

I've always been intrigued by Monroe, at least one paper, but his defense is non existent and the fact the Bucks are looking to move him after a year is definitely a red flag.

FYI, the old url (phxsuns.net) *does* forward here now, to phx-suns.net. Thanks!
Huh. Just tried it (

Well, this is awkward. The site you're looking for is not here.
Is this your site? Get more info or contact support.
It works as long as you don't include the "

As for Monroe, he isn't really my type of player. Not great defender, can't shoot from distance, doesn't pass well. I'm not sure his skill set actually make a team much better.

The Bucks are not taking Chandler, they are going all in into that "positionless Basketball" thing (partial reason to ditch Monroe as well), but what about Knight for Monroe?
Now, forget the Bucks, should the Suns do it?
Main rotation:
Bledsoe, Booker, Dunn
Tucker, Warren, Teletovic?
Len, Monroe, Chandler/Sabonis
The backcourt looks fine, but we are highly dependant on Len making strides as a shooter an rim protector... With Len and presumably Chandler on board for the next year, we are better served with a modern stretch 4

Hi Sose, hope life is treating you well, and No, unless it is a 3 team trade sending knight their way and the 3rd team sending us something that we don't fix during the draft.

If we get Monroe, it will not be long and he will be the player we most want to move. Just like Knight.

I already want him gone and he isn't even here yet.

Correct. It is a waste of time. I would spend cap space or roster space on him. He wouldn't help me establish the brand of basketball I wanted to play, and he would just take up minutes and touches from someone I would be more invested in.

It's really kind of sad for a guy like Monroe, who's off court personality, from all that I've read, I quite like, to have a skill set that no longer matches the modern NBA. I read some trade scenarios where he gets sent to the Hornets, to replace Al Jefferson. There may be other teams that can help protect his deficiencies on defense, but if Milwaukee can't do it, and Utah doesn't need a guy like him, then his options are very limited.
