I'm going to be in Vegas the 13th-17th for a World Series of poker event so I might get to check out a game or two. Who knows, if the Suns make the championship game, maybe I'll even extend my stay.

One of the men in that photograph can do something the others will never be able to do. Ulis can walk into any random clothing store and find clothes that fit.

Thanks for posting the schedules. I'm certainly not going to miss the "most watched summer league team."

Booker will make "spot appearances"? What's the deal with that?

He has been invited to the practice squad for the Olympic team. That is happening a week after the Summer League I believe. So they want to keep him fresh for that. They think it will be a better learning experience than Summer League. From what McD said in interviews they weren't going to have him play in summer league at all but Booker is really excited to play with the new guys and of course Ulis.

Sounds reasonable. Thanks.

I'm glad he's excited. Any lineup with Booker, Ulis and Bender should be fun to watch, because that's three guys who understand ball movement. And throw in Chriss, who at least knows how to throw down an alley oop.

Booker doesn't need to play SL. Selfishly I'd like to see him out there but I don't see much benefit for him. Now TJ on the other hand could use it as a rehab assignment but it doesn't appear he is quite ready.

Bol had some interesting games against the Suns.
I remember Andrew Lang boxing him out on a rebound, using his leg/butt strength against Manute's spindly frame.
Bol got so frustrated he started slapping Lang on the butt to stop.

Another game, when Manute was with the 76ers, he started throwing in treys from about 30 feet out.
Phoenix had a 20+ point lead, so it was garbage time, but the site of Bol tossing treys like he was Dan Majerle was truly epic.
I think Manute made 6 of 12 that game.

RIP Bol.
He did a lot of stunts and charitable events after his basketball days to raise money for Sudanese refugees, starving and homeless from civil wars there.
"Manute" in his language means "special blessing" and he was that for his people.

Great post LL. Bol was before my time but he sure seemed like a once in a lifetime player.

Great job for finding the video, Chaz.

Only a couple of the last ones were from 28 or so feet, but still ...

You don't have to jump when you're 7'7"!

Of the players who the Suns didn't draft or haven,t already been on their roster I would guess Kuric might have the best chance of making the team. He's certainly the most interesting story -

I loved Kuric at Louisville; fun player to watch. I also like Shannon Scott: pure point guard ability and defensive ability too. I'm interested to see how Alan Williams play. Troy Williams has nice potential, but may need some time overseas to develop his skill level.

May be time to stick a fork in my guy Alec Brown.
