For me the best part about this, is that we are sending his bird rights away, so even if we still can resign Tucker in the summer to an absurd amount of money, this should be a lot less likely... at least less likely.... damn, at least out of a sure thing... right? RIGHT???
And we get to name a new Majerle Award!!!
My bet is that it will be Chandler

Sorry, it's basically nothing. Toronto doesn't own anyone else's 2nds so they will be picks in the 50s.
^this. Suns were better off just having him for two months practicing against Booker than 2 worthless picks.
I'm all for trading him but I don't understand how they couldn't even net a super late 1st for him like the Hawks did for Korver?
Because mgmt wasn't as desperate to add PJ as their own players were.

I would have liked better picks, but I'm happy for PJ that he gets to play in the playoffs this year. And I'm happy for us that we now have 30 minutes a game to give to other players.
Isn't Sullinger just a bigger Big Sauce? He is also an expiring contract and has only played in 11 games this year. Do we keep him or cut?

I feel like Sullinger will come in and the training camp mafia will work him back to health to show how great they still are, and possibly help spread the word to others for a future acquisition.

One more thought: now when we go small, do we put Warren at the 4? It seemed like he scored really well when he was at the 4 early this season before Tucker came back.

He's Oliver Miller 2017. His dinner bill alone should get the Suns to the salary floor.

Not a bad prediction. Plus, he has been to the playoffs, so they will tell us that he is great in the locker room.
But it leaves us very thin at 3.

That's true, maybe they start playing Booker more at 3 and that's the way they get Knight in more often.

Well we half assed it again. So the front office was talking about sticking to the rebuild the last few days but yet we don't unload all the rest of the vet garbage.
It goes to show how valuable teams felt that 1st round picks are this year.

Because no one was willing to offer a 1st for him. We can be upset all we want, but McD can't make someone offer a first if they don't want to. And if he kept Tucker and didn't trade him, we'd all be complaining that he didn't do anything.

I think that McD likens him to Steve Nash and thinks he will get better with time and the rest of the roster matures. On a side note, he probably doesn't want to lose his best player before the draft, if he doesn't have a great successor in hand. If he trades him, it will be at the draft and if the Suns fall into the top 1 or 2 and fall in love with the top pgs.
