It would make the games longer, even worse that a free throw parade.

A lot of officials were in their own feelings for a while after the coaches challenge was introduced. I haven't noticed any indignance from the officials while conducting a review in a while.

Permitting only one challenge per game never made much sense but it allowed for a gradual adjustment period for teams and officials.

You think this was always the plan?

I think they knew there would be some kinks to work out with both the game flow and ego management.

If I were Minnesota and looking to deal KAT, I'd be trying to get Jalen Williams. An Edwards and Williams wing do would be dangerous.

I have no idea how the trade would work because OKC doesn't really have the contracts to trade this summer.

They certainly know because they were giving him big minutes way before anyone expected it.

I think there's a limit to the number of guys that can be developed together as a group and still compete at a high level. Their roster will eventually need some balance. All the young guys on rookie contracts are playing for their first big check, so there could be some benefit to moving one of them to bring in an all-star veteran who's already been paid. I think Giddey is a good player, but he's the guy I think I'd try to capitalize on before Jalen Williams if I were Presti.

I think all three of those guys are long term pieces. Add in Chet and Dort as a bit of a high value role player and they are gonna start competing with this core.

Maybe they'll try that strategy, I just can't recall any team having that much patience. I guess GSW did it, but Curry is the best shooter ever. That's not replicable. Maybe Chet is a generational player and then they'd have a chance. They could spend 3-4 years on development and hope everything goes right (injuries, coaches, chemistry) to maybe have a chance at a title in years 5-7. Unrelated, but I don't think Dort is anything special and he's overpaid right now.

I think a better strategy is to take a swing on an elite veteran talent if the right opportunity and fit are presented. It's pretty much what the Suns just did, FWIW. Even Denver had to make a move for Aaron Gordon to really become a contender and it cost them 2 development pieces and a future pick.

I thought his play was very solid in his first game, the Double OT loss which Clippers blew a double digit lead with under 2mins left and that surely wasn't all on him

Haven't watched the other two games and well aware his numbers could be misleading but yes Here we are.
I have said as much as he does some knucklehead stuff that people overdo the he's a team wrecker thing but either way if Clippers struggle down the stretch I surely not gonna complain
