It feels like Royce O'Neale has bricked ten 3s tonight. (He is actually 2-7.) He keeps taking these 3s from WAY behind the line, which I would not do if I were bricking all my 3s. Just a thought.
We are also getting Bad Booker tonight, shooting just 6-15 and 1-5 from 3. Grayson Allen and Brooks playing well though.
Booker is playing fine, making good passes, playing good defense…it’s just the 3s lol smh. I’m past “this is a fluke”, until he shows otherwise, his three is completely gone and I have accepted it. Maybe next year…or the playoffs?
I blame Kendall.

What is Ott doing bringing the starters back in up 20?

It's good to be good again. Handled our business against an injured Grizzlies. Not much of a game in the 2nd half, we controlled things pretty much after the 1st qtr. Full team win, Allen was back so we were able to go a legit 9 deep with some Fleming minutes mixed in. Starters weren't taxed too much which will hopefully help Friday against the Knicks. Allen got back on track with his shooting, Williams with a double double, Goodwin doing everything again off the bench and just outhustling everyone of the Grizzlies. It's been said before, but the past two years this game would've been a struggle. This season we're locked in, not looking past anyone or going away from our style of play or gameplan.

Rasheer Fleming should get all of Ryan Dunns minutes. He's a better player NOW.
I like Dunn's potential, but he's a deer in the headlights on offense.
Fleming has the size the Suns need in the lineup ... agree that he should get more run.

I love me some Dunn, but he doesn't feel like he really fits in on the current team. His shooting mostly stinks, and he isn't good enough at ball-handling or passing to make up for it. Ott's system seems to thrive with a bunch of guys who can keep the offense moving. Dunn is one of our best defenders, but he really gums up the offense, and he seems lost and doesn't have a clear role.

I'm still in on Dunn. The offensive struggles are real but that's what player development is about. He moves well off the ball and his handles are good enough in a straight line to take pressure off our guards if they're trapped and we need a reset. He's one move away from being able to finish at the rim and he's the kind of wing defender you want for bigger 3s and smaller 4s.

I absolutely haven't given up on him. But I do hope he sees what is going on. Whatever development he did this past offseason was not enough, and he needs to step it up. He needs to identify areas where he can improve his game, whether that's locking himself in the gym and practicing his shooting, improving his handle, passing, whatever he can work on. He was kind of a darling of our team last year and I think he may have assumed that he'd keep his role and prominence this year, and it didn't happen. Ott made him earn it and decided pretty quickly to give most of his minutes away to other more well-rounded players. I hope Dunn takes that as a challenge to get better. I think he can do it and want to keep him here.
