Seems like a lot of complaining from the twins these days. I just wish they would let it go and try and play some good defense.

Thanks, man. Unfortunately I'm still at work and it doesn't work from here.EDC wrote:Some more proxies http://free-proxy.cz/en/proxylist/city/ ... y/all/ping
Just looking at scores, we closed the gap to end the first half, 51-47. We were down 12 at one point.

Marcus is atrocious.
Re: Game Day (Exhibition): Suns @ Jazz, Fri 10/24/14
WTH is Tucker thinking? Under two minutes to go and he iso's from the baseline?
...
A Morris with another travel. They really need to work on that.

Suns win, 105 - 100. Preseason is over! Bring on the regular season! Less than a week away!

Kieff 17 & 6 in 24 minutes. 5 fouls.
Professor Plum 6 & 5 in 21 minutes. 4 fouls.
Bledsoe 14, 5 & 5 in 30 minutes. 10 FTAs.
Green 8 & 5 in 23 minutes.
Dragic 18 & 3 in 29 minutes.
Marcus 4 & 3 on 1-7 shooting & 4 fouls in just 21 minutes.
Tolliver 6 points 2 of 6 from 3 in 20 minutes.
Tucker 9 & 5 in 20 minutes.
Len 5 & 6, with 1 block & 4 fouls in 20 minutes.
IT3 18 & 3, 11 FTAs in 28 minutes.
Goodwin with 0 points and 2 assists in just 6 minutes.
I think we are getting closer to what a regular rotation will look like though I don't expect Green to start. Roughly 30 minutes each for the 3 PGs and some scrap minutes to Goodwin. Tucker, Marcus, Green all with about 20 minutes each. I look for this to vary based on who has the hot hand or if Tucker's defense is needed (usually will be.) We need more than just 11 & 11 combined from our C spot in 41 minutes. Disappointed there.

Goran shot 53% from the field in pre-seasons. Only 28% from 3 though we know he can run a little hot and cold from there from time to time. He also averaged 2.7 assists in 23.5 minutes a game.

Bledsoe shot 56.4% from the field in pre-season. He shot 47% from 3. He got to the line for 40 attempts in 7 games but only shot 70%. I'd like to see that improve. Goran needs to shoot better from the line also. Bled averaged 3 rebounds and 3.9 assists in about 24 minutes per game.

Plumlee and Tolliver really had disappointing preseasons. I hope they can take their play up a few notches.
Re: Game Day (Exhibition): Suns @ Jazz, Fri 10/24/14
Kieff shot 46% from the field during pre-season. But only 29% from 3 (4 of 14.) I hope our 3-point shooting picks up. No one was particularly good from there this pre-season other than Bledsoe. Green was only 32%. Marcus was 33%. Tolliver shot 25% and that isn't going to get it done since he literally does nothing else well. If he can't shoot 40% or better he may not even see the floor which is the opposite of what I predicted. I figured he'd play quite a bit, but he has to shoot well.
Edit: IT3 was 37.5% which is not totally terrible considering.
Edit2: Tucker was 4/9 or 44%. They were almost exclusively wide open corner 3's though. Still I hope he continues to be judicious in his 3-point selection and hit at a good clip.

Kieff is not looking good in Frye's role. He is at his best in the midrange, especially the right elbow, but we already knew that. The good thing is that he is still making those plays, but if you want to extract value out of a contract you need to use the player to his strengths.
And Miles, yes, he is not doing great either. His teammates basically ignore him on offense, just as they do with Len, but that's what usually happens when your roster is so deep with perimeter firepower, plus a PF who is also a scorer. With Plumlee, energy is the absolute key. Since his role is rim protection and rebounding, he can make a difference with garbage points and broken plays, but he just needs to move a lot. The problem is he looks like he can't sustain it for long. Many times there's a visible difference between his first quarter and the rest of the game, particularly on the boards.

What do you guys think of the season outlook for our team overall, now that the preseason is coming to an end?
I don't want to be a negative Nancy, but I am feeling more pessimistic than when I wrote my season predictions a few weeks ago. We have no serviceable big men. The Morrii are now being put into a role that I don't think is likely to be a good fit for them. Plumlee is regressing or was perhaps a fluke last year. Len is not the savior. Tolliver looks like a total dud. We just don't really have anybody at the PF or C position who is a great defender, a great rebounder, or a great scorer. Both of those positions are totally weak for us. And we just have a mess of a SF rotation with too many guys who want minutes but can't all get them. I'm not in the "Channing Frye was crucial" camp, but I think that despite not really losing anything of value, we may be worse than last year and maybe aren't a playoff team. :-/

If the preseason is at least some sort of indicator, we are not a playoff team for sure. We have next to nothing in the Center spot, and Markieff won't cut it as a full time starter. I can't wait for december 15th to arrive and ship Tucker and the Twins for whatever big man we can get to give us real production. Of course it would be needed to add some real value, but so be it.

Yup, superb 6 man, terrible starter, and Marcus is a joke. I miss Frye already....Aztec Sunsfan wrote:If the preseason is at least some sort of indicator, we are not a playoff team for sure. So, will IT3 lead the team in scoring? Based on preseason it looks that way.
