That's the impression he gives. One bounce, up and two points is what happens 52.3% on 3 attempts, per nba.com. Traditionally, consistency has been an issue with him but at least in this area he is becoming quite reliable.
% wise, only Dirk does better (not just among PFs, overall), at an absurd 62% rate.
Once you combine % with higher frequency, you have the usual suspects. Curry, Paul, Melo etc. Kobe tries more than 11 times, makes 36%. Around the 2.5 mark on attempts you start to see more efficiency. Ridnour (yes), Coutney Lee or Livingston, for instance.
When you factor in 3pts you can count in Lillard, Aaron Brooks or Kevin Martin. Dirk improves to a staggering 66%. Kieff reamins the same, as this is effective FG% and he makes just 1/3 of his attempts.
And get this: Kieff tries very few drives per game, but it's ridiculous that he is making 82%. 82. And 65% on close shots. Catch and shoot is where is struggles as he is clearly a one on one animal.

How about pick and pop situations? I always likened him to KT in that sense, and KT was seriously automatic from both the wing and baseline. I was hoping Kieff could get there with us.

Pick and pop tipically falls into the catch and shoot category. Kieff is not good at 49% (effective %, taking in mind threes).
Tolliver 53%
Frye 67%
Ryan Anderson 54%
McBob less than 20%
Hawes 59%
Dirk and Love 56%
Olynyk 79%
Teletovic 55%
Bosh 54%
Pero Antic 41%
Novak 69%
Patterson 58%
Aldridge 54%

That's a bummer, DJ :-/. What field do you work in? I am really sorry for your bad news. I'm sure you will find something new soon and everything will be okay.

Thanks for the kind words gang. Means alot. Really. I look forward to that game every year even if it means going alone like I did last year. The firing caught be out of the blue and was incredibly unwarranted. But im in sales and it can sometimes be a dirty business and dont always care about firing longtime employees before the holidays. Ill land on my feet somewhere but in the meantime will still be watching every Suns game since I already paid in full on my league pass.
I may reach out to Eric Bledsoes agent to see if he can get me a huge raise while also allowing me to decrese production. Sorry couldn't resist. Go Suns!

I haven't had a chance to watch these games but the box scores are very strange . I mean, Bled 9 points, Morri combine for what 17 or 19 ? Len has 6 and 5 , Dragic 11 its ? What is going on here. The one guy we don't have under contract next year , meanwhile , is killing it .
Whats the life expectancy of this squad ?

It is worth noting that Gerald does his damage against bench squads. And when he's off, he makes nothing, and it kills us.
If he keeps this up, what will he get as a FA? Can we match? Would it be smarter to sign G Green or Dragic at twice the price (or is that becoming less of a worry as the year goes on?)?

The last couple games have been blowouts and no ones really playing more than 20-25 minutes, scoring load has been spread pretty even, which is kinda nice to have so many players capable of scoring

Not if we want to make room for Warren.

Warren? Won't we have his Bird rights?

We can't match; he is unrestricted, but we have Bird rights so our salary cap status doesn't matter if we want him back.
I'd love him at PJ's money, but he can command easily 25M over 4 years imo. I would pay to keep him (I'd do without others before letting him go and would look for moves to bring more balance starting dec 15), but I think he'll have a healthy number of suitors, and if there are not moves during the season, he could be a casualty to the logjam issue.
I also believe that he will sustain this performance only playing for a few specific coaches that are willing to give him the green light as much as Hornacek does.
I'd like to see him on Atlanta above all. Washington would be interesting alongside Wall. Toronto if they weren't haunted by the memory of Rudy Gay's hero ball. Teams like Charlotte or Detroit should stay away altogether, and others with strong authority presences like Chicago or Miami are candidates for almost instant buyer's remorse.

Ha! Agreed. But it would be a shame if he leaves for a team that marginalizes him after one month because of his chucking nature. Budenholzer could extract a lot out of him, many others have too short of a leash to let him be.

I'm just talking about the logjam. Someone like Green has to go if we're going to find playing time for Warren.

If someone has to go, I would rather move PJ than Green. I am not sure there are suitors for him though.

The crazy thing is that a year ago at this time, I would have moved 2 Greens to get PJ more playing time...
