Yea which would alter the context of what happened in my eyes. If they were just mad their mom was seeing some dude then its much worse then some dude harassing there mom and them coming to her defense....although, again, 5 on 1? If it was just Marcus fighting some dude defending his mom, then it looks a lot better. It's not how you're suppose to settle these things, but I'm just sayin....its looked at in a different light then "hey lets jump this dude"
“Kobe had said (after the play) I wasn’t hugged enough as a child,” Bell recalled. “My mom kind of found him after the instance and we had beat them and offered him a hug in the bowels of the Phoenix arena. She really feels a part of that story.”

Anyway you slice it, they made a terrible choice. These guys know they're in the public eye. Confront the dude like a man. Tell him to knock it off. If that doesn't work, get the police involved. I don't know. Just use your brains. Figure it out in a non-violent, non 5 on 1 manner. Get some advice on the best way to handle it. Vigilante justice isn't the answer.

Much bigger than that. Likely a couple of felons. And not the, "I had a little too much weed so they gave me a felony"-felon.

Was Charles Barkley ever indicted on a felony charge? He beat people up, pushed a dude through a window, spit on people, etc. It may have just been a slightly less litigious era.

A dude called In Len We Trust has been posting on this since January in RealGM, his roommate is one of the main witnesses:

http://forums.realgm.com/boards/viewtop ... &start=420

According to him, Marcus was physically involved while Markieff was just holding people back from intervening. I think that the prosecution is over-reaching, although this was certainly stupid in a somewhat premeditated way.

If this witness is found credible, I see no way that Markieff is nailed for a felony, unless they can conclusively prove that the main perpetrator got paid off by the MoBros. Marcus, though, might get nailed pretty hard.

Just the fact that the twins called in some friends to ambush a 40 year old man outside a basketball game is pretty freaking bad. It wasn't some heat of the moment situation where they were arguing then started fighting. If what the witnesses say is true they just started beating on him.

There is way too much smoke here for me. I don't doubt the twins were neck deep in this assualt. That said I doubt they get anything but a slap on the wrist. High priced lawyers are almost a free ticket to do as you please and they can afford the best.

The only question is how they split the lawyer bill. Does Marcus pay 60% and Markieff 40% since he was only holding back the crowd? I guess it doesn't matter when it's coming from the same checking account.

OK, but this is a much different situation. This should not even be public.

Shows how little she gets paid though. They had to buy their first home in Goodyear?

I dunno when you have friends over and you and your SO decide to throw things at each other and then get into a fist fight in the living room I think you shouldn't be surprised if someone calls the cops. :)

Sounds like a healthy relationship.

I didn't say calling the cops wasn't appropriate. If this happens to the average Joe Schmoe, it doesn't make the news.

True but domestic violence has become a hot topic for athletes these days. Although this is an interesting twist on it.

You get yourself arrested and it's public. It's just a matter of how much interest there's going to be.

Still, they're idiots and they probably need to re-evaluate their relationship.

Or if they're happy beating the shit out of each other.....

Can we all agree that it is on a whole different level than the Morris' situation?
