check the suns schedule. would really help their playoff push if their april schedule is full of lakers, denver, spurs, OKC, sixer, NY games.

Do we know whether Durant's recovery is coming along well? I am reluctant to just pencil them back in as contenders when that depends so much on Durant being 100%. What if he is never the same? Wouldn't you rather bet on, say, the Rockets if your life depended on it? Tough call.

I also think the Spurs have some real 2004 Lakers potential. Amazing roster and talent, but they are relying on several really, really old players who may have a hard time staying healthy through to the end.

I like the Wolves young guys but they are not ready to win now. I don't think they'll compete for a playoff spot. Mavs, even without Jordan, I think are favorites for the 8th.

I don't think the Mavs have a shot, to be honest. They may be the least talented team in the West.
