The Suns waived forward Kyle Casey and guard Terrico White today. The roster sits at 15 currently.

Who? :-) They will be missed. I'll never forget what's-his-face and that-guy.

Which starting 3/4 combo in the West is Tucker/Morris better than?

Nowitzki/Parsons
Galinari/Faried
Barnes/D. Green
Ariza/Jones
Pierce/Griffin
Bryant/Randle
J. Green/Randolph
Wiggins/Towns
Evans/Davis
Durant/Ibaka
Aminu/E. Davis
Gay/Cousins
Leonard/Aldridge
Hayward/Favors

Ouch.

I think just Portland's. And some of the other forward combos are just so much better it's scary.

Speaking of "ouch", that's an awkward pairing of names:

Gay/Cousins

(Not that there's anything wrong with that.)

And since when is Cousins a 4?

Nowitzki/Parsons
Not certain their 2015-16 incarnation is better than our boys. Dirk is near the end of his career, and Parsons has been injured a lot lately and is mediocre even when he isn't injured.
Galinari/Faried
I think we're better than this pair. Gallo is hurt all the time, and Faried is in an early-career slump. The Nugs may try to get rid of him this year.
Barnes/D. Green
Better than us.
Ariza/Jones
I think we're about even with this pair. Jones doesn't impress me very much, and Ariza is only fair.
Pierce/Griffin
Blake pushes them over us, for sure, but Pierce is old and can't bring it every night any more.
Bryant/Randle
Call me when this pair gets through 82 games healthy. If they're actually on the court, yes, this pair is better than ours.
J. Green/Randolph
Jeff Green is junk. Randolph is good but he's starting to get old. I'd put this pair above ours, but not by much.
Wiggins/Towns
Wiggins is a stud, and I'd trade our pair for this pair for sure, based on future potential.
Evans/Davis
Will Davis play PF or C? If he's PF, then yes, absolutely, Davis plus the ballboy are better than our frontcourt.
Durant/Ibaka
Health concern for Durant, but still, you take the OKC pair any day.
Aminu/E. Davis
I take our guys over this pair for sure.
Gay/Cousins
I thought DMC played C for them. If he's their PF, I take the Kings. If not, I take our guys.
Leonard/Aldridge
Spurs win this one easily.
Hayward/Favors
Jazz win.

... So, in total:

Better: GS, LAC, MEM, MIN, OKC, SAS, UTA
Worse: DAL, DEN, POR
Even/Unclear: HOU, LAL, NOR, SAC

Yeah, our frontcourt isn't very good. We need to upgrade in this area in the next few years. If you swap in a presumably improved Warren for Tucker, I think things get more interesting. But we still need to ship out Morris and find a more willing replacement.

I think the plan is to start Koufos next to him.

I disagree. Gallo is really good when healthy and if he's ever injured, feel free to swap in Wilson Chandler. Faried did not mesh well at all with Brian Shaw, but looks pretty happy under Mike Malone. Feel free to call Faried/Kieff a wash, but their SF is much better than Tucker.
I think we're about even with this pair. Jones doesn't impress me very much, and Ariza is only fair.
On past performance, I'd take Markieff over Jones. I wouldn't be surprised if that changes this year, though. Ariza is better than Tucker. Motiejunas may also start over Jones.

Having Tucker as a starter obviously worsens the overall level of your frontcourt, but focusing on SF-PF is a weird way of evaluating it, leaving out the center position which is probably the most important one and strangely for our history, not the weakest link anymore. Paradoxically, that honor is taken by IQ and 3pt shooting.

Anyone know what's wrong with Price? They're scratching him for the final 2 pre-season games and he hasn't been with the team since last Tuesday.
