“In Denver, we were down so we went with it then,” said Hornacek, whose three-guard lineups rallied the team to win Friday. “Against the Pelicans, we were finding out that P.J. was the only guy that was guarding Anderson. Once you do that, there’s only Anthony Davis out there so that kept us going small.”
Yeah, the forwards who couldn't guard Anderson are okay to cover Davis?
So much for that emphasis on defense.

Markieff is 83rd out of 96 power forwards.
Seriously, who are these other 13 PFs who are somehow even worse than Markieff? Is one of them Dan Langhi?

Let's not let our fandom for the Suns overshadow misfortunes suffered by some of the other teams in the league. For every Blake Griffin there's always a Josh Smith... Or Patrick Patterson, who I spent a 10th round draft pick on in one of my fantasy leagues because my buddy who co-manages that league with me happens to be a die-hard Raptors fan.

One thing I'm almost certain of is that as we approach the playoffs we're going to look back at the first 14 games of the season, with our cake schedule and with the way the rest of the West has struggled, and kick ourselves for not going 10-4 instead of 7-7.

Bob Voulgaris was on Simmons' podcast today. Bill asked him to list 4 rookies he loves and he said really there's only 2, Towns and Porzingis. But then he amended it to 3 and said Devin Booker. They are the only rookies that aren't a net negative when on the floor.

Heard that, pretty cool Booker got a mention. We might have quite a player on our hands. He did mention Justice Winslow later too.

Some teams look like cake at the beginning like Dallas. Somebody forgot to tell them to suck.

Suns calling up Bryce Cotton from Austin of the D League. He's a guard that has been averaging 22ppg on 58% shooting. 61% from 3pt.
Maybe Bledsoe is out for a few games?

I think it's unrelated. Bledsoe was out there warming up early and is a game-time decision.

Those are eye popping stats. Looking forward to checking him out. But only after Booker has had his fill.

McD just didn't feel comfortable with less than 7 guards on the roster.
Watch him get minutes before Booker. Even though Booker has been pretty decent lately. It just seems like a reoccurring theme when we get excited about the play of a young guy they have to find a way to prevent giving him minutes.
We will probably end up trading Kieff for a 3.

Bryce is a very solid player.
Honestly, I think Hornacek may like Archie as a person and like his work ethic, but I don't think he can stand his game.

Then we should probably move him. Kid deserves a chance somewhere if it isn't going to be here. He does have talent. I think he's an NBA player and maybe even a starter in this league. The jumper has to show progress though.

For November, Warren averaged 13.5 pts. on 58% shooting (54% from 3), 85% from the line, 3.2 rebounds, and a steal in 23 minutes per game. All that, and the ball is hardly in his hands. He either passes or shoots within a second or two.
The thing that I love about Warren is the way he just flows. He never seems in a hurry, but is always fast enough. He dunks with regularity but doesn't expend extra energy with huge throw downs.

Impressive numbers. Any doubt he'd average 20/game if he got 30 minutes/game?

I don't know if he'd get 20. But 15-16 or more, for sure. He's going to be a starting SF for us, definitely. Excited about him.

His averages per 36 min - 20.1 Pts, 5.2 Reb, 1.1 Ast
All without him being the main focus of the offense.

Is TJ's three-point shooting for real? 9-20 is too small a sample to get excited about the .450 percentage, but he looks comfortable with it. What's your over/under for his 3p% on the season?

38% on 150 attempts.
