According to ESPN's Real Plus MInus, our top active player is Jon Leuer, who ranks #86 in the league. (Bledsoe ranks #30.)
30. Eric Bledsoe
86. Jon Leuer
126. Mirza Teletovic
160. Alex Len
162. Ronnie Price
164. AASE
198. Tyson Chandler
279. PJ Tucker
293. Markieff Morris
315. Sonny Weems
336. TJ Warren (huh?)
341. Archie Goodwin
360. Devin Booker
Bryce Cotton and Corey Jefferson don't show up at all in their list. Don't know why.

Plus/Minus can be a flawed stat particularly with guys like Booker who was only seeing garbage time mintues for a while, but That seems about right. Bledsoe is a top 50 player, but other then that currently we don't have one on the floor.

The Kings reach their season high in points with 4:17 to play.

Len can't even get minutes when we are down 20 with under 5 to go?

I really hope we can get a defensive coach to guide the young guys. Both Booker and TJ are never going to have issues with offense. If they can get good on the defensive side they can be really really good.

I wonder what the league wide season high is for points in a regulation game. Kings at 140 and counting.

If the Suns lose to the Lakers tomorrow,I truly believe Jeff Hornacek will be fired Monday.
AND, I believe Ryan McDonough will be put on watch too as GM.

Why? He is doing exactly what is being asked of him--playing the young guys. The minute that Bledsoe decided to have reconstructive surgery the Suns powers that be decided that this will be one long pre-season developing the young talent. That is why Markieff is not playing. That is why Chandler is getting limited minutes. That is why Booker and Warren are getting 36 plus minutes per game.
Its going to get (already is) ugly, but that is what is going to happen when your starting line up inclueds players aged 24, 19, and 22.
Horny is safer now than he was before Bledsoe's injury. Do not be surprised to see the Suns start shipping off their vet players soon. I can see Tucker, Chandler, Price, and eve Leuer and Tele being shipped off to teams that are looking for veteran depth as they approach post season.

Suns must have been using the infamous "chuck and duck" approach to basketball ...

I think you are right and Hornacek will probably survive to finish the season here. I just don't understand why if they are telling him to play the young guys that Len is getting benched?

Then why is Price still getting almost 20 minutes and Teletovic getting any time at all?

There's more to being a head coach than calling substitutions.

RE Len: He doesn't look right. He's clearly playing one-handed and that's not a good look when you don't have great hands to begin with. I think Horny saw that and thought it would be better off letting him rest.

Sunsfan4life wrote:You just have to wonder why the Kings are so bad. It's like the 4th year in a row I'm saying this, but on paper they should be better than 12-20. You look out on the court and you see a Suns team that is young, with absolutely no inside presence, missing their best player and a severe lack of depth. The Kings have 2 all-stars in Rondo and Cousins (although I'm not a Rondo fan) 1 of the best backup pgs in the game in Collison, shooters in Casspi and Belleneli and really a roster filled with veterans with a good coach.
Yet when you watch the kings you can kinda see the effort isn't consistant, particularly on defense and I think that tone is set by DeMarcus
Can't play the Suns every night.

Have you ever seen a team complain as much when foul calls are going against them as the Kings? That was pathetic. But they got their way so it must be working for them.

Clippers can't stop complaining. And some players too; you'd believe Tim Duncan has never commited a foul.
