D'Antoni is 64, Pop 66. I think Hollins is fine, just didn't have any talent in BK. I'd still look hard at him for this group.
Their franchise is a mess tho, Prokhorov's run it into the ground. King is an awful exec but even in his defense, was under orders to spend everything and make a splash to try and win. Now this is the result. Feel bad for BK fans.

Due to his age? I'm sorry but that is ridiculous. Age has nothing to do with it. If you can coach, you can coach. Sorry, youngster but you're talking out of your ass.

He's only 62. 62 is the new 47.
I didn't mean that nobody would want him. I just meant that he might decide he's done with the grind of coaching. I certainly agree that it's possible to be a great coach well into one's 60s and beyond and didn't mean to diss the 60s set.

I feel sorry for whoever gets the Brooklyn job - it might be the worst job in the league right now.

Without a doubt. The cupboard is bare on that team. The Suns at least have some assets. Brooklyn not having their own pick this year is ridiculous. Ainge should get GM of the year retroactively for that shit.

OK, that's better.

And for the record, I have a little ways before hitting my 60s.

He got three future 1st-rounders to get rid of the decrepit Garnett and Pierce. Amazing.

Here is a reddit thread containing all of Billy King's moves as GM of the Nets. Oof.

The Nets are the only reason why I still have some sanity left.

Apparently John Calipari is asking for a 10 year, 120M contract to coach the Nets. In 2014 he turned down 80M, 10 years from the Cavs. Currently he is making 8-9M per.

He'll be worth it, you know, with all of his experience and background being a GM and coach in the NBA.
This will set the Nets back another 10 years. Prokhorov's more interested in making a splash with big names and contracts than having a well run team. Really unfortunate.

Prokhorov obviously wasn't paying any attention in 1997.....

Please please please let this happen. And then let's trade for their 2022 pick.

Its quite a lesson on the dangers of trading for aging vets. You look at how San Antonio has done it. They do not give up valuable assets for a run. They keep their aging vets, but they do not trade for them. They keep rotating in younger role players through free agency, the draft, or minor trades.
They keep their picks, and if they are lucky, they hit on one. Not much wheeling and dealing with that team. It would be boring to be a fan--except for the wins and championships.

ESPN rates the top 10 point guards ever. Two former Suns are among the list.
One might argue about placement, but the right players are in the mix.

Can't go wrong with the guys on that list. I think Paul is still a tad overrated and Nash and Kidd should be above him. Granted I don't like CP3, but Kidd was a walking triple double and Nash changed the game in 2004-05.

I have a hard time including current players (especially when those guys aren't over 30 yet). Other than that, agreed there are a lot of the right names.

You could argue that KJ should be on the list, although I'm not sure who he would replace.
