Re: Game Day: Suns (14-34) @ Mavericks (27-22), Sun 1/31/16
The question is can Morris out tank Booker?
Re: Game Day: Suns (14-34) @ Mavericks (27-22), Sun 1/31/16
Booker the last 10 games: 34 minutes, 17.5 points, 45% from the field, 38% from 3.
Go Suns!

Can't be often a 19-year-old puts up a stretch like that.

Len out for the defensive juggernaut of Mirza.

Mirza out and Morris in. It is going to take a miracle from Booker to pull it out.

It was a good try by Booker.

We're still playing "a loss by less than 15 is a win," right?

9 points in the 4th quarter? Oof. Pretty pathetic.

Suns scored the first four points of the fourth quarter to take a 73-68 lead. Mavs put in Javale McGee to guard the rim, which he did with two quick blocks. The rest of the Mavs concentrated on shutting down Booker, which they did collectively. Dallas closed out with a 23-5 run as the Suns withered offensively.
Well, so much for hopes and dreams ...

All by Kieff. Ballgame. That's alright, pa-ting!Mori Chu wrote:9 points in the 4th quarter? Oof. Pretty pathetic.
Synchronicity and all that jazz, man.

Can the deliberate tank be any more obvious. Play competitively for three, then coast the 4th.Mori Chu wrote:9 points in the 4th quarter? Oof. Pretty pathetic.
Stink. minny list again.

I saw this line during the game, and you needed to add that he had 6 points on a good % and a + 4 at the time. To not play him until much later is showing that "no good deed goes unpunished" or "tank you very much" is in play instead.EDC wrote:Len gets 6pts 6boards 2 blocks in 9 minutes in the first half. Second half he doesn't come in till the 4th quarter he will probably only get another 6 minutes.

Despite the box score, Markieff was so terrible.
I just hate watching the guy play - and it's not just because his performance has been such ass. It's also because he seems to be playing a different game than his teammates. Everyone else seems to make quick to semi-quick decisions with the ball, but if you throw it to Kieff it's 14 seconds of jab step, fake, jab step, dribble, dribble, dribble, turn, dribble, pump fake, pump fake, brick. It's like watching a homeless man's Carmelo Anthony if Anthony had destroyed your team from the inside and threw a towel at his coach.

They've put Goodwin in a no-win situation by shoehorning him into the PG spot on this talentless offense.
With Price out, there's no true PG on the roster, even if Bledsoe and Knight were healthy. Is it any surprise to those of us who watch the team that the offense is completely impotent?
No post-up game, no point guards (which means far to many turnovers), no defense to create easy baskets --- it's not getting better anytime soon.

And just for fun, we scored those first 4 points in the first 90 seconds. That means we scored 5 points in 10.5 minutes. It was amazing.

It was a great game to watch for 3+ quarters.
