he didnt rule out signing an extension with the suns if they traded for him. at least that was better than kevin love's declaration before the start of last season that he would not sign an extension if the suns acquired him via a trade.

So what point were you trying to make? It has every bit of culture that Chicago has, more diversity and roughly the same population. Maybe you meant to say it's not a "glamour" market?

Media exposure, industry connections, business opportunities, etc. along with size. When stars have tried to force their way to a large market, how many times did you hear Toronto mentioned?

How often is diverse cultural activities mentioned? Gasol is a different cat & you're arguing just to argue.

Toronto is a larger market, albeit with some wildcard factors because it is in Canada.

Taxes are different; to simplify, rich Americans are better off than rich Canadians when it comes to taxes paid. So that's a big negative for athletes. Still, NBA, MLB and NHL do well there. Torontonians love their Argonauts, too

Otherwise, it's a world-class city with plenty of amenities and opportunities.

Let's not get personal about it. For the record, you should check out the "cultural impact" factor on this link, which is a semi-objective way of comparing different cities. There are different rankings with significant differences, but for the purpose of cross-referencing Chicago, Toronto and Phoenix, the ranking should be more or less similar.

I'm honestly not complex. What you see is what you get. I'm not going to talk about something I don't care about or don't have an interest in. And when I state an opinion, 99.9% of the time, it's what I believe.

In this case, I don't feel it's a certainty that the Suns couldn't have signed Gasol. I'm sorry that offends you so much, but I promise you it's what I believe.
