Don’t think it was scripted because the one guy completely messed up and laid down at the start instead of racing to the other side to lay down… then the promo team kept helping the other guy catch up to mske it somewhat respectable and the other guy didn’t realize it and was getting cocky. Served him right lol.
Or you underestimate how much Mat Ishbia is willing to pay for entertainment. Those are professional competition fixers.

This was a classic Ayton game. Tantalizes in the first quarter, decent second quarter, disappears the rest of the game. 0 free throws. Stripped 4 times. Defensive effort waxed and waned. One back down move that would make Stanley From The Office proud. Gave the haters ammunition. Gave the White Knights of Aytonistan plenty to complain about/others to blame.
Gotta credit the guy. He came back to Phoenix and played all the hits.

Good game, definitely some added juice with the guys who were traded. DA was focused most of the game and did his damage early. Nurk was probably pressing early on but settled in during the 2nd half and really played well for us. When he's hitting that 3 we're that much more dangerous.
KD is in a crazy groove right now. Feels like this is the real KD we're seeing and he's finally looking like himself since he got here. And what's great is that he's not really forcing anything, it's coming easy to him and he's playing well off Book. The defense has been great too. It's just a matter of keeping it going throughout the season now.
Book was really good but defenses are definitely keying in on him as a ballhandler and making things tough on him in terms of getting his own shots. Just need the others to keep getting open and knocking down shots.
Really like what Little has been giving us. Good frame, length, can hit the 3 and get to the basket. Also like his athleticism up and down the floor, which we tend to lack with Allen, EG, KBD, and Yuta.
Still some defensive and offensive lulls that let the other team back in the game but maybe that's just part of the flow of the games. Can't blow everyone out. I like Vogel playing with different lineups and rotations when certain things aren't working. Doesn't mean guys are in the doghouse or won't ever see the court, just goes with what's working.

The Inside the NBA guys have regressed. They used to actually talk about the game and the players more. Now they barely talk about the game at all and instead just goof around and make fun of DA for wearing pearls. Not much analysis to be found in that 5-minute clip.

I don't know why anyone watches that show anymore. It's been awful ever since Shaq came aboard.
