He said Bliss was being interviewed this weekend and 2-3 people would get interviews with Ishbia. Mentioned Chris Quinn and Jordan Ott as leaders to get the Ishbia interview.

I guess Booker is giving input into the coaching search. I get that as a show of respect for our franchise player. But I hope they don't just let him pick a loosey goosey "player friendly" coach when it seems like we need a bit of a kick in the ass.

I don't think that's Booker's style. He has been complaining for the last 2 years that the coaching prep isn't detailed enough and he's been big on accountability in the past. I think Book really want's to win the right way.

The Phoenix Suns have narrowed their head coaching search to two finalists from the Cleveland Cavaliers, associate coach Johnnie Bryant and assistant Jordan Ott, sources tell ESPN. Both will meet with Suns owner Mat Ishbia in Michigan ahead of a hiring as soon as later this week.

Bryant at least played college basketball (and not just in name only like Ishbia “played”). But I will be shocked if Ott isn’t the choice.

I feel like Ott is so obvious and on-the-nose that it's really Bryant and Ishbia and crew are just giving the MSU guy some attention and helping him get his name out there. Or they could do something really outside the box and hire Bryant as HC and give Ott an Associate Head Coach title.

Also funny that Ishbia is hiring someone from the Cavs' staff.

It would have been even funnier if Dan Gilbert had refused to let the Suns have permission to speak to them.

I've been convinced it's gonna be Ott since we found out who he was and I found the MSU link, I still hope I'm wrong, but I'm prepared to be sad

We should have known what we were in for from Ishbia’s first press conference, when he couldn’t stop mentioning Tom Izzo.

Ott graduated from PSU before doing his post grad stuff at MSU maybe the fact that he's really a nittany lion will work to his detriment.
